The walking trails were absolutely beautiful. It is nice that these camp grounds are so close to Bryson City. I would also recommend renting a tube from the tubing place before entering the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Also this place that rent tubes also allows campers to have showers for a small fee of $7. I would definitely recommend Deep Creek Camp grounds to anyone. The only thing I would like to mention about Deep Creeks primitive camping is it more communal than private. If you would like privacy it would be best to chose a campsite with electric or a RV spot.

Good camping. Helpful employees. Easy hiking to waterfalls. Lots of insects, to be expected. Fellow campers should learn to lock their car doors without blowing their car horn every 10 minutes at 11:00 at night.

I camp at Deep Creek at least twice a year. It is always a great experience.

Campsites have less privacy than I expected from the map but it didn't hurt our experience at all. The campground staff was super friendly and helpful and the setting is beautiful. Very convenient access to waterfalls and tubing, which we highly recommend. Bryson City is a fun town with great food and nice people. We highly recommend breakfast at Everett Street Diner (it's worth the wait!), dinner at Nantahala Brewing Company, and sandwiches from the High Test Deli.

Liked that tent camping was totally separate from RV sites.

If you goal is tubing, camping here is 5 stars. If your goal is camping, then the level is much lower. Don't expect privacy if you camp by the creek. There is enough space to distance and we never found the bathrooms crowded. However, you can always see and be seen. The wonder of this place is that if you camp by the creek, you can tube all day. Tube, rest, tube, have a snack, tube, take a nap and tube some more. It all depends on your goal for your trip. The staff is nice and maintains the bathrooms clean.
