Very beautiful, quiet site. Some of the cleanest bathrooms.

This is one of my favorite campgrounds. The host was very helpful. It wasn't crowded and my neighbors were all friendly seasoned campers. This campground is a beautiful place. You can find peace and quiet up here. Remember to pack what you need.

enjoyed the campground, within an hour from the smokies! clean bathrooms and a nice dishwashing station. sites are close together so recommend going during the week or off season! great spot to watch the sunrise up the road, saw deer and elk! will definitely return.

Balsam is perfect! The elevation is great for keeping temps cool even in late July and August! Perfect for tent or car camping. Level spots for campers and level places for your tent. Great location as well near Cherokee and Maggie Valley.

We really like this park. The natural wild flowers, hiking, elk, deer and bear make this a true adventure. It is our favorite place.

Beautiful, remote campground. Campsites are small and relatively close together. Parking for most sites is on the shoulder of the road so you don't actually pull into your site. Only a couple have their own parking spot. The weekend we were there the campground was full but the rainy weather sent a lot of tent campers home so it was very quiet at night. If you want to hike into the backcountry you'll need to drive a couple of miles back down to the trailhead. If you ride an ADV type motorcycle there are numerous gravel opportunities close by. I was using my phone for navigation and it had trouble locating the campground, it actually sent us over the Blue Ridge Parkway towards Maggie Valley. Overall a very nice place to spend a quiet weekend.

Perfect location and quiet. Would prefer if there were fewer campsites so there was more room between each.
