Beautiful high elevation campground is a nice break from the summer heat. Remote and less crowded than other parts of GSMNP with great hiking within close proximity

Great site if you want off the beaten path, nicely located to hiking trails and off roading trails. Fantastic scenic pull offs. Highly recommend sunset!

Sites are close together, without a lot of privacy, but the temperature and weather were great for early August. I think the experience would vary quite a bit based on your site selection. Will definitely return.

Campsites very close but everyone was quite. I stayed at an inside tent site. The outside ones looked better. Tent pads were great. Roads in were good. Camp host was friendly.

Elevation of this campsite makes it a great escape from summer heat. Nice one way gravel road leaves the campsite for a beautiful ride through the park. Highly recommend.

This campground is off the beaten path which is one reason I like it. The high elevation provides comfortable summer temperatures and the area near the campground is frequented by a lot of wildlife, especially bears and elk. The campsites are small and the campground access road narrow so this is not the best place for people with RVs (also, no hook-ups). Overall, I enjoy staying here. i just wish it had access to firewood. Campers need to buy it elsewhere (i.e., Smokemont Campground).

The camp ground was clean and well cared for. The camp ground hosts were an Incredible couple and added greatly to our experience!
