A quiet, peaceful place to rest and relax away from the normal hustle, bustle and traffic of a national park. Not for the inexperienced and unprepared. But, if you know what you're doing, well worth the trip up the mountain.

Great high elevation campground! There are a couple things to note: its very far from amenities, there are few hiking opportunities around, and many of the campsites are tightly packed. Otherwise a beautiful escape to the higher altitudes.

The campground was very clean and the bathrooms were very clean. The camp host were very nice and knowledgeable about the area

We stayed at three different campsites during our visit to the Smokies and this one was by far the best experience. It's not for everyone -- it's remote, the drive is long and winding, the campsites are small and so can seem a little crowded. But the camp hosts, weather, views, and isolation from the rest of the world (besides other campers) were worth it to us.
