Campground itself was well taken care of and all campers were respectful of each other. Our campsite was great. Bathrooms and facilities were great. Couldn't ask for anything more.

The campground was quiet and clean. Our site was level and shaded. The mosquitos were really bad during the last of June so plan accordingly.

My girlfriend and loved this campground! The scenery was amazing and campground was clean. The only complaint was that our neighbors were some college kids who were loud drunk and obnoxious until 1am when quiet time is 10pm and the campground host didn't fo anything about it which was frustrating

Plenty of space for the car and two three-person tents. It was a short walk to the camp store and bathrooms. The bathrooms do not have soap or hand dryers so be sure to bring some of your own. The night sky in the park was beautiful and the campground is truly the best way to experience the park.

The camp grounds and people at it where very nice and helpful. There was a random hail strom and everyone was helping - especially that I was alone with my son and dog. The sand dunes was breathtaking with a special access from the camp grounds - very easy. highly recomended!!!

Basically a quiet campground except for a large group camped near us that refused to acknowledge quiet hours

Just perfectly located inside the national park, we did a hike directly from the campground to the lookout point at sunset. It was amazing to see the sun sink behind the dunes.

It seems there were a number of unfilled but reserved sites for the the mid-week days we were there, you might be able to use one of them at the last minute.

Our campsite in loop 2 may have been the best site in the loop. Great views of the dunes, mountains and open sky. Close to the small camp store but we felt totally private at the site. The temp was very warm so while the park is famous for the sand dunes we did not spend much time in the sand. Our plan was to hike at the park and that we did. The Mosca Pass Trail was a fantastic experience hike that did challenge us…the heat and elevation must be respected in doing this trail. 9750 feet elevation at the pass! Once the sun set the night sky for star gazing did not disappoint…simply amazing!

Nice campground. Some of the sites are close together and the one-way loops might make it difficult for RVs and trailers. Bathrooms were clean. Small but well-stocked store available which was nice.

Overall, this is a fantastic spot to camp if you're visiting Great Sand Dunes. You're right in the park, and many of the sites have views of the dunes. We love having a few small amenities at the campsite (picnic table, fire ring), and it was a real treat to have flush toilets instead of pits! The online feature of being able to look at photos of the sites was a really great touch. We were able to choose a site that had some tree cover and a view, even though we'd never been to the park before. And the campground store was the perfect spot to pick up some firewood! The camp host was also very friendly and attentive, checking in on us daily.

Very nice campground. Large tent spaces. Clean, convenient to the dunes, etc...

Site 88 has plenty of space and privacy, away from other sites and we really liked the view of the dunes from there! Surprisingly we have ok cellphone signals there (AT&T), good enough to make phone calls.
