Nice campground. Site was level and had a nice view of the Sand Dunes. Bathroom was clean with flush toilets and a wash sink and potable water outside the bathroom. No showers and no hookups. There was no gate or check in location, which was strange but it looked like maybe the ranger just walked by and checked to see if the sites were occupied? There was also a nice easy trail right off of the campground that you could hike to the sand dunes from the campground. There was also a free dump station. Sites are kind of close together but did have some trees/bushes in between. The sites/parking pads are short, so pay close attention to the size restrictions. At this site, the tent pad, fire ring and picnic table are elevated slightly above and behind the parking pad. Overall a pleasant place.

Compared to many Park campgrounds the sites were close together. Backing in was nearly impossible because the sites were short and tall rock walls along the sides. Toilets flush type and were relatively clean and odor free. Dump and water station were clean and easy to use. Campground hosts were very nice and helpful. Store was tiny and the nearest real store was 25 or so miles away so do your shopping on the way in. Zappa Falls park is nearby and very crowded but worth the trip.

This was a wonderfully maintained campground. Bathrooms to signage, everything was great. Even without the water flowing in the creek, there were considerable numbers of mosquitoes. The shade structure we brought had netting which I highly recommend.

The new updates to the park are great such as the trash receptacles (which were emptied daily) and the restroom facilities. We have been going to the GSDNP the past 12 years and love every visit !

Campground great. Bring bug spray for the mosquitoes.

The closure of the bathrooms was obviously poorly timed. They closed every bathroom in the campground instead of working on them one by one. We didn't see any work being done Friday or Monday. There were not enough porto-potties to support the amount of waste produced which was rather gross. However, as usual, our stay was nice - rangers keep the place clean and the host was delightful and welcoming.

Access to most campsites is 'canted' for nose-in camping, making it difficult, if not impossible, to navigate the one-way direction loop and back in your camper. Same thing, obviously, with exiting after your stay. You may have to deliberately go against the signage and traffic flow. Most drivers were very understanding. To compensate there are some 'pull up and park' sites.
Bathrooms were exceptionally clean, lighted and well maintained.
We enjoyed the short Sand Ramp trail to the overlook.
The presentation at the Visitors Center was short, informative, and we highly recommend it.
Despite the parking/access difficulties we will definitely reserve again.

Excellent campground: large, private campsites, nice views of the dunes, and clean restrooms with flush toilets and running water. And good availability of drinking water. My only complaint is that I followed the instructions on the website, and actually took firewood out of my vehicle because the website said there was plenty available. But the camp store I have used in the past was not open every day, and then the store at the visitor center closed before we got there. We fortunately were able to get some firewood at the Oasis store just outside the park.

It was a nice camping area. I wish they had showers it would've made it even better of an experience.

Great campground, wonderful views of the dunes, a dump station and water station you can use. The spots were very short though, and oddly orientated so it was hard to back up even a small trailer.

Even though I live only 1.5 hours from this park, it was very awesome to be able to camp here with my boys! My only complaint/Suggestion would be. It would be awesome if the NPS would make a loop dedicated to just tent camping. Instead tents are comingled with campers and trailers, which even though there are quiet hours you still have to listen to generators up to that time and as soon as its over.

Top notch campground! We really enjoyed the space they provide, and the views are awesome!

There were people there during my stay that decided it was a good idea to sing karaoke, but that isn't the campground's fault.
