This is a nice, quiet campground. We appreciated the bathrooms, especially the family one that made it easier to be with my children and handle medical situations. The dishwashing sink was also nice to have. The trail to the bathroom did have cacti along it, so at night we stuck to the road, which worked well. The site was a little small to fit both our regular tent and screen tent, but we made it work. Definitely bring bug spray!

It was okay. Lacking in seeing any Rangers in campground. our sites were unlevel. Just seemed unhuman. All transactions are handled by an app.

Don't miss the camp store! Well stocked and open from 7:30am (fresh coffee!) to 7:30pm. It's at the entrance of loop two. Mosquitoes are thick for half an our at sunrise and again at sunset. Super clean bathrooms. Excellent camp hosts.

The place is magical. All the campsites are great. Easy access to toilet and water. It gets a bit windy so prepare for that. Sand will get everywhere however it's very worth it.

I researched carefully to ensure we got an appropriate campsite to fit our RV. When we arrived, the campsite did not conform to the description given in recreation.gov and we did not fit. The camp host acknowledged it was not the first time this had happened with this site, yet the park continues to decline to either change the description to be accurate or fix the campsite to match the description. They had an overflow site we could use, but it was a terrible site at the intersection of the main roads and definitely not the experience we had expected.

Great view, close enough to a fairly clean bathroom

A beautiful place to camp! We enjoyed climbing and surfing (you can rent a sled or board from a few local places) the dunes! We also took some time to hike up to Zapata Falls- the dirt road up to the trailhead is under construction, but is still open to vehicles. The falls are just starting to thaw and are breathtaking!
Our family was pleasantly surprised with the bathroom facilities- we were prepared for compost toilets, but the campground had several multi-stall toilets and sinks with running water.
The darkness and quiet of the campground at night made for a wonderful outing with nature.
The Park Rangers were fantastic! So helpful and happy to answer any questions we had.
