No showers, so you get sandy!!!! Otherwise great facilities. Tons of mosquitos in July, especially around sunset, but worth it!

A very nice clean campground. The trail down to the dunes/creek is a bit lengthy so plan accordingly when taking things down.

The site we had, #49, was unlevel on the right side and had two tree branches overhanging the left side so I had to park my travel trailer in the middle. This meant that there was no room to park my truck alongside and had to pull up by the road, which was difficult due to the overhanging branches. The camp host and a park ranger agreed that these branches should have been cut back, so hopefully this was taken care of before the next campers arrive.Having said this, the campground is very nice and has the very clean restrooms. There is a trail to the dunes in the campground, and a camp store that sells ice and firewood. The camp hosts are very helpful.

Nice campsites and very clean bathrooms. Sites vary drastically by size, layout, parking areas and views so do your homework to select the site that will work for you.

One of the finest National Park campgrounds in the history of camping. The architectural design is above and beyond. The staff were friendly and accommodating. They have a camp store with firewood and ice cream. What more could you ask for?

We lucked out both nights having to move to different sites owing to reserved status. We managed to camp away from motor homes, of which there were many, and which often emit obnoxious sounds. The reservation system needs to be revised--about 10-15% of the reserved sites we're never occupied each night, frustrating for unsuccessful campers

It was a very nice campsite. Clean and well maintained. Would go back 10/10

Just a really sweet, clean, quiet, well laid-out campground! That said, we wish reservation holder would cancel if they're not going to show up; we couldn't believe how many empty spots there were and that means some people maybe missed out on the chance to camp here and enjoy Great Sand Dunes NP. This seems like a pattern with recreation.gov; we think there should be penalties for no-shows; it's just cheap enough that people might be booking extra days and if they can't make it, oh well---- it's just not enough of a penalty, or at least that's our theory after observing this at different sites in multiple states over several years.

Nice, clean, campground with good access to hiking trails. The park is small but offers a range of activities involving the dunes and Medano creek. We had fun.

The two campground hosts were wonderful. The road is was one of the worst I have ever driven. The road south was much better.

Awesome campground with unbeatable views. Sites are a bit small but have nice space between them and a good amount of shade cover. It is a busy campground so understand that, but the stargazing and walking access to the dunes are what it's all about.
