You are not allowed to hang things from the trees. I had a mosquito net that would have been helpful but had to take it down. Mosquitoes were not horrible but they were around. Sites are close together. Views are lovely. We saw rangers during the day checking on things but not at quiet hours which was unfortunate because we had very loud neighbors 2/3 nights that carried on late into the night.

This is the perfect campground for someone who wants to enjoy the views of the dunes! Bathrooms were clean and the sites were spacious. Only recommendation would be for there to be rules in place about adjacent sites to mind their headlights at night. We had several blinding moments.

Noisy is the best one-word summary. Clean comes in a close second. The campground overall and the bathrooms were impressively clean, we were shocked how nice the bathrooms were. The only housekeeping we had to do was remove rocks from the tent pad. The noise was a whole other issue - you can hear everything at this campground. The campsites are extremely close to each other. It doesn't help that quiet hours are not enforced. We had drunk rowdy neighbors cussing on one side and an aggressive couple who showed up at 11pm get into a camper-backing-up dispute for an hour on the other side. The campground is very exposed, only some sites have shade - should have brought a shade tent. I would return here though, if I had a soundproof camper.

Lovely campground. Beautiful views and a short walk to the Dunes. Climbing up the dunes is fun gives you a great perspective on the size.

The National Park experience was mediocre. The lack of ranger participation in hikes, programs and information made the park experience very limited. After you summit the dunes, what is there to do? We left a day earlier than expected.
