View was great until a large camper trailer blocked my view of the dunes. Pull in surface was sloped 5+ degrees so I had to sleep at the opposite end of my bed!

Great view of dunes. Only con was that the campground store was closed an entire day of our 2 day stay and campers were needing firewood. Because we have a camper van, we go in and out of our site and someone took our wood while we we were gone for a couple of hours probably because they thought we had checked out.

This park is awesome! However, it is not for large RV trailers. Our trailer was 28 feet long and barely fit in the camp spot. It was very difficult navigating into the site - due to boulders on each side of the site and the narrowness of the roadway. The views from our campsite were awesome and we loved the Visitor's center.

While the restrooms were closed, the port-a-johns were amazingly well maintained and cleaned.

We had a great time at the Pinon Flats Campground. The weather was great but be sure to pack a warm jacket or windbreaker in case it rains. We've had more rain this summer than most. Beautiful views.

A very nice campground with clean facilities and easy access to the sand dunes. We tent camped and our spot was very exposed to wind which howled and rattled the tent all night, but also meant we had beautiful views of the sand dunes. Definitely recommend this campground!

We have been taking family trips to the Dunes in early spring for nearly 48 years. It's a great place to camp with children.
