Great experience camping at Pinon Flats Campground! Only recommendation to future campers to is to be sure to look at the pictures of your campsite. The campsites aren't all the same and may not accommodate your setup. I got a bit lucky with this, but could have easily been out of luck.

Amazing bathrooms and sinks, cool lady at the store. Bring mosquito spray during season for sure.

Decent, the fromt office should probably ignore calls from old people complaining and not stop by just to appease them.

Great experience and wonderful adventure. We were fortunate enough to be there for great weather and no moon, which really brought the stars.

Pinon Flats is a very compressed campground, meaning that the sites are close together. Made it tricky to park the travel trailer and our neighbors were very close. Mosquitos were out of control although that isn’t something that the campground or park can really control.

Beautiful campground. So nice to be right next to the dunes. Loved waking up with a view of the dunes. Highly recommend staying here if you plan on exploring the dunes.

The camp sites run a bit small and not-too-level for RVs, but we still had a good experience there.

The abundance of caution was absurd. Especially considering the location of the fire compared to the campground, and that no evacuations were required. The abundance of caution inside the visitor center was also absurd. We couldnt even get in and explore the exhibits. All in all, worst experience weve ever had at a NP. Its a shame, given the beauty of the place.

Clean bathrooms and wonderful scenery. Campsites are a nice size and there is a good buffer between sites.

We camped overnight and unfortunately it was rainy and windy. Luckily we had a pickup camper but we wish we would have been able to utilize the outside firepit and be around it more! Views were amazing from our site and we had some young deer come to the campsite across from us the next morning and check us out! The bathrooms were clean and masks were required. We just returned so our stay was late September and unfortunately you can't get the weather as far ahead as you need to make a reservation! We'll definitely make a trip back.

We enjoyed our stay.
The campsite was tight for our 21.5ft long travel trailer, however, we were able to make it work.
The site was sloped, so bring lots of blocks to help level your camper.
Great view of the dunes.

Awesome campground! Quiet, clean, solid space between campsites, trash nearby, views of dunes and sunset, and closely located to Dunes trailhead.
