Great campground, clean facilities.

The campgrounds are great. We stay there often. Found it a bit distressing there was no campground host. I do understand things happen and things come up. Based on personal experience camping at LOTS on National Parks. Things just seem to go smoother when there is a host on site.

Great campsite, cleanest bathrooms I've seen at a campground. Beautiful scenery - wish we could have stayed longer!

Very busy campground, but well maintained and the restrooms are clean with running water, which is a big plus. Walking distance to the dunes. Perfect!

Incredible! Some of the best stars I've ever seen, clean, pretty campground with good facilities and close access to park attractions, and we met a very cool guy with a telescope who let us look at celestial bodies!

Great location in relation to the dunes and visitor center. The nighttime Ranger programs were a highlight! We really liked site #18, however site #20 looked easier to maneuver an RV on the upper size limit, but we managed it in #18. Great views of the dunes!

Overnight stop. Site was great. Surprised there was vendor selling firewood and ice onsite which was handy. The dunes are amazing. We hiked up to the high dune and stopped by the visitors center. Pictures do not do justice to the sights of the dunes sandwiched between the grassland and mountains.

Site had an excellent view, campsites were far enough apart to give you privacy. It would have been good to know that the restrooms were not open and under construction having only porta potties instead.

The campsites themselves are spacious with a bear bin big-enough for two large coolers and additional food item storage per site, a large picnic table, and a fire pit with a barbeque grate. There is also a shop at the campground where you can buy firewood, matches, and other vital items for a reasonable price. Admission to the park is not included in the campsite reservation fee, so you have to make sure you are prepared to pay that extra fee upon entry. Overall my group of 4 people and 1 dog had a lovely time and would recommend staying here once the bathroom situation is addressed or at least the graywater disposal is addressed!

Nice and clean restrooms. The camp sites are very close to the Dunes.

Awesome site! Close the dunes and the trails. Close to the restrooms and some shade coverage.

The campground was beautiful. The bathrooms were very clean with flush toilets and sinks, but bring your own hand soap.

The campground is beautiful and well spaced. Some of the sights looked very difficult to navigate a trailer into or out of but ours was fairly easy. The winds were high and there was little enforcement for fires blowing all around the place. The dunes are the obvious must see. Crestone is a worthy day trip. There is water on site but we hauled 40 gallons over the hill. Also, was nicely surprised to see a dump station! The visitor center had covid protocols in place so it wasn’t as much fun as it could be. But it was still worth the trip. Reasonably priced and friendly. Can’t wait to come again!
