This is an adorable campground! The bathrooms are easy to access, clean, and have flush toilets. The camp store will drive around to sell firewood at night and coffee in the morning! The grounds were well maintained and people followed the rules for the most part, the generators ran a little outside of camp hours, but it was November and the temps were a little chilly. Overall a great experience and one I would recommend to anyone visiting Great Sand Dunes National Park!

Absolutely incredible views. This is a quick 5 minute drive from Oasis restaurant and thr visitor center, with an amazing view of the dunes and mountains, we had a lovely time here!

This trip was my first time taking the kids to a National Park and I cant think of a better experience. The park was well maintained, and the federal employees were professional and present at all times. We all look forward to going back. Thank you to the Great Sand Dunes National Park team.

The views are unmatched here. Access to the creek and the dunes is an easy hike or a short drive. It's great having the pumps for drinking water (so it doesn't have to taste like warm plastic from trucking it from home). The dishwashing sinks at the bathrooms are clutch!

So much fun! It was nice to avoid the parking mess and just walk to the dunes. No showers though, so all the sand can get uncomfortable.

I know there are Covid concerns but the NPS has gone way overboard in shutting things down. I was also extremely disappointed that recycling was closed down so anyone who did not choose to take their recycling home would just chuck everything in the trash. Is that environmentally responsible??

It was my first time at the Sand Dunes and Pinon Flats were a very convenient stay to enjoy the Dunes to the fullest. They have great views (obviously) of the dunes, easy access to the trails, & good, clean bathrooms;) I would definitely look through the photos of the different spots to make sure you book one that has some shade and a good view;)Highly recommend!
