Great campground, but, we were at campsite 9 and the three steps up to it were scary, especially if we had to descend them during darkness.

Amazing camping experience! Great lots, well cleaned and grounds are taken care of, yet very natural! We love this spot

It was awesome- all that I was hoping for and expecting. Even the afternoon thunderstorms were a nice bonus to cool things off.

I enjoyed my site, but next time I'll try for a site on the other side of the loop with an unobstructed view of the dunes. Sunsets are gorgeous here! Please be advised that many sites are not ADA-compliant; this site has a few stone steps from the driveway. I was cautious about tripping down the stairs at night, but it all worked out! Was here for two nights the last week of October, campground had potable water spigots and flush toilets with sinks, but the outside dishwashing station was closed for the season. They also allow campfires but this time of year, the camp store has limited days/hours, so consider buying firewood from a local vendor before arrival. There's a trail from the campsite to the dunes so you don't have to fight with daytrippers for parking. I've also been roadtripping for two months, and this was the clearest night sky I've seen so far! Hopefully you won't have any nighttime clouds when you visit.

Nice place and affordable cost for everyone. The sunset and sunrise views are amazing. The special one is looking at the sky during night time and it was fantastic.

This would've been a very pretty campground had it not been for the excessive use of incense that I can only assume was being used to cover up people's illegal use of pot in a federal park. There were signs indicating that we were in bear country, but nobody in the sites near us was following those rules and the camp host didn't seem to be issuing any warnings other than the one that was taped to the picnic table. Thankfully, no bears were seen. Maybe they, too, were turned off by the putrid scent of incense! Other than the smell and total disregard for bear country rules, this campground is set up very nicely for a national park campground. Our space was number 9 and we had 3 tiny steps up into our campsite, where our 11ft square dome tent fit well, with room to spare. Our parking spot was a pull-off space that fit a Honda CRV perfectly, but not sure how well something bigger would fit the space and still be tucked into the site. Thankfully, quiet hours were observed and we had a peaceful night.
