Site 36 was perfect for us and our 19' Sprinter van. It was nice having the small creek run right next to us. The restroom was clean, and close by, but not too close. Site 36 is close to the Bristlecone and Lakes trailhead.

Campground felt new and clean. Lots of trees and separation between campsites so it was private and quiet. Easy access to trailheads to Wheeler Peak and the Bristlecone Pine trail (walk from the campsite). I was there first week of September and the temps were below freezing one night.

Great location. Close to hiking trails. Quiet. Plenty of space to pitch a tent.

Our campsite was gorgeous. Right next to Lehman Creek. Well maintained fire pit and nearby vault toilets (very clean!). Mule deer came through quietly each day. This campground also has easy access to beautiful hiking trails, including the Wheeler Peak Summit Trail, and the Bristlecone Grove. Peaceful solitude that is hard to find in other national parks.

Just got back from 4 days at this campsite and had a wonderful time. However, there was no available water at the campsites and we had to go down to the town of Baker (where we purchased water at the adorable General Store). Wish we had known there was no water as we would have at least brought containers. The bathrooms were very clean and workers came at least every other day to clean. The only other complaint I had was when I tried to make reservations we had a very hard time finding available sites. However, every day there were day campers who showed up, which lead us to believe the Park Service reserves a bunch of sites for overnighters, which makes it very hard for people who want to stay longer.

Excellent campground. Very clean bathroom & so bright inside. Walkable trailheads right from camp.

Campground is very close to Mt Wheeler trailhead. Tables, fire pits, and bathrooms close by.
