Beautiful well maintained camp sites with lots of privacy and clean pit toilets. Very quiet. Best National Park camping experience we have had.

I stayed here for 4 nights. The toilets where clean every day, the campsite was well set up, wildlife visited us every night, and the view of wheeler peak at sunset and sunrise was spectacular.

Wheeler Peak Campground had many nice sites and great scenery. Some sites are better than others depending on the size tent you have or if using a trailer. I had a choice of 2 outhouses near my site. One was very smelly so I used the other. No water was available so be sure to have enough for your stay.

Site was too small for RV (small RV that should have fit according to specs). Also, site was angled so we had to come in from the wrong direction down the one-way road to get in at all. Not fun getting set-up. Beautiful location.

Beautiful camp ground! surrounded by trees and beautiful scenery. I got site 25 and it was so great! There was space for my seven person tent and if needed there could be space for a four person tent by the parking. There was a bit of trash in our fire pit but nothing major. No camp host but the campsite was well clean. No flush toilets only pit but they were clean. Also no running water on the outdoor faucets but you can refill water at the Lehman visitor center.
