This is a nice campground in a beautiful setting. However most of the sites past the first 4 or 5 are pretty steeply sloped so if you have a pickup with a small slide in you can't get it even close to level. As with most reservation only campgrounds many if not most of the reserved sites were unoccupied.

Space 13 was noted as RV space only. It's 23' long and extreme steep slopes of 4.5% in one direction and 5% in the other. There were many others that were not designated as RV only and one should be switched with this one as they are bigger and more level. This was verify disappointing. I couldn't get balance even with the plethora of RV accessories and had one wheel 2" off the ground and still not level. It even caused my trailer motorized hitch levelor to bend and loosen. I'm sure this will cause me $300 in replacement cost. Extremely poor engineering site design.

Very nice campsite. #13 was close to the creek which was rather loud this time of year.Getting the reservation was a pain. I finally got a reservation on the 4th day I tried. I was amazed that a fully reserved campground had about 20-25% empty sites all 3 nights.

Site number 13 RV Upper Lehman is very unlevel and so short it is impossible to use leveling blocks. I own a 21 foot class B, and it barely fit. We found the site unusable so went out of the park and camped on BLM land. After having made Reservations we felt very bad to leave the Park. You site description needs to include the slope and cross slope of RV sites. Since campgrounds were otherwise full we did not visit Great Basin as a result.

The cave itself and the engineering aspect were phenomenal. We took the 2:00 PM tour on Tuesday 7/19. The only issue/suggestion I have is to change the rule with regard to small flashlights. There was one individual on this tour that had a small LED flashlight that was extremely bright, and he incessantly felt the need to shine it on everything. Even then the guide was using her light to identify points of interest he added his light thereby over illuminating the objects to the point of annoyance. He then proceeded to continue to light everything up when both my wife and others were trying to take pictures thereby ruining the ability to take nice pictures. He also never turned it off and only held it to his hip thinking he was deflecting it but it continued to be a complete distraction throughout the tour. I would suggest one of two avenues to address this:1) do away with the ability for others to bring in flashlights.2) eliminate the ability to bring external flashlights but provide small, low lighting flashlights for use during the tours. You could both sell or rent them out for a nominal fee thereby accomplishing both a small revenue stream as well as preventing the complete annoyance we encountered.Otherwise, the cave was amazing, and we look forward to coming again.
