I love the general atmosphere of the Signal Mtn campground. But, the site we stayed at had a significant slope - took all our jacks and pads to make it comfortable. Then, the restrooms were disgusting. Stinky, toilets leaked on the floor, the urinals are those dry kind but they don't put the blue oily stuff in them and they reek. The walls and floors looked gross. I realize these are nearly 60 years old but they need refurbishing and better upkeep. Same for Lizard Creek. On the other hand, the restrooms at Gros Ventre were very nice and had a clean feel to them. PLEASE UPGRADE THE RESTROOMS!!

It is very private, not on top of each other. The first night I was there, came out of the showers and there a mule deer standing there. My dog and Hollywood almost rubbed noses. Then I was told to move, so I did but got to meet him up close and personal. Staff was great, helpful and courteous.

Unhygienic, disgusting fresh water fill station. Signal Mountain CG has only one fresh water fill station near the dump station. The normal faucet attachment has been replaced by a single jet nozzle. Hopefully, I can attach a photo next. There is no way to connect our filter and hose. You must simply insert the end of this jet nozzle into your fresh fill. So, first of all, there is no way to filter the water, which we always do. But it gets worse: my wife and I were waiting behind another camper who first took out the dirtiest sewer hose with his bare hands (no gloves) and proceeded to empty his black tank. He then took the non-potable jet hose and soaked everything - sewer hose and all. He was covered in it - literally. He then proceeded to the fresh fill and grabbed the jet nozzle and filled his tank, while trying to clean everything. When it was our turn, I had to try my best to sanitize the fresh water jet nozzle before I could use it. I later asked an employee if there was any clean fresh water fill. He said I dont understand. The kid was clearly not a camper. From Signal Mountain, we moved to YNPs Fishing Bridge. They too use the jet hose, but only for the non-potable water. When you move to the fresh station, you can connect a filter and fill with clean fresh water. For this reason, I do not recommend Signal Mountain CG.

Beautiful setting on Jackson Lake. Campsite can be small and challenging to park and level even a small camping trailer. Older campground with unmanaged trail system to bathrooms. Bear box at each site. Campground showers are individual rooms - clean but a bit spendy at $6 for 7 minutes. Convenient access to GTNP points of interest and hiking trails. Wed stay here again.

We found our site with no issues, and were happy with the beautiful surroundings, including the lake, the View of the Tetons, and access to the store and visitor center.
