Signal Mtn, as always, is a wonderful, peaceful, well cared for place to camp.

The campsites are very spacious, but the noise from the boats on the lake go on until the late evening and night. The ramp to the lake is located just behind the campground and the noise from the ramp comes right up the hill and fills the campsites.

For some reason, I expected far more for the $44.40 I paid for this campsite! The tent pad was way too small for our 11ft dome tent so we had to squeeze it in elsewhere on our site, causing it to be set on an angle. The sites are tiny and squished together way too close! Had I known, though, they had a few campsites with caution tape across them that were being held in case the booking system screwed up. We might have been able to swap out our spot to one of those with a bit more space, but I didn't know what the caution tape was there for until we went to take showers and the campground attendant was in his little building so I asked, hoping those were not sites with bear issues or something. He assured me that was not the case and that those were mitigation sites being reserved in case the booking system somehow cancelled someone's site or double booked it. Good to know they at least do that! Speaking of the showers though...be prepared to pay $6 a shower. For three of us, our night at the Tetons in Signal Mountain cost me $62.40 with showers...for a very tiny tent site that was within hearing range of everyone around us. I won't camp here again. The Tetons are beautiful, but camping inside the park is not worth the price. We drove through a few NFS campgrounds on our way out of the area and we could've had similar scenery and less people for about $15 a night!

Site 51 has no space for a tent. We had to move the the picnic table over the fire pit just find space for a tent, and that was sloped and sandwiched between brush and 5 feet away from the next sites proper tent box. It should be listed as an RV site only.
