Picturesque campsite on the lake with a view of the Grand Tenton mountains. The sites themselves are nice enough, some very cold and muddy for October but I'm sure they would be good for a summer camp rather than fall.

Great shaded spot. Beautiful trees. Nice and quiet.

Tent site had gravel that was too big to use and the showers weren't free.

This was a fairly typical, beautiful national park campground. It had clean bathrooms with flushing toilets. A water spigot was available near the bathrooms. At the time of writing this (Summer 2022) generators are not allowed in Loop 3 of the Signal Mountain Campground. We booked a site in loop 3 specifically for this reason. There were multiple sites around us in loop 3 that were running a generator all day long. The generator rule doesn't seem to be enforced in this campground whatsoever.Site 81 didn't have a single level surface outside of tent pad. Even the picnic table was sitting at an angle. Even the parking area is slanted. This wasn't an issue for us, but it would make things challenging if you wanted to setup camp chairs or anything.

we spent the day hiking around String Lake, Leigh Lake, and Jenny Lake. the views were spectacular and we saw osprey and even had a close encounter with a bear. we came back to eat at the Lodge restaurant which was great, then left early the next morning with coffee from the convenience store.

Weve been camping at Signal Mtn for 42 years; prior to this year all on a first come first served basis. After some difficulty in making the reservations (2 camp sites) the process in the campground was seamless. No fuss, exceptional!!

Apparently I chose the only nonelectric site (81) that you actually cant park a camper on even though it is not tent only. Our camper was only 8ft, but we were pretty much sticking out into the road and our neighbors complained. Showers are token only, but unless you have exact change, you have to buy them in 5 token increments. Showers are 6 tokens. Otherwise relatively secluded and there are some good sites with lake views. If Jenny Lake is booked, this is a good option for hiking on the south side of the park.
