Beautiful spot, one of my favorite campsites

We pulled in late but before dark. We did appreciate the campground host checking in with us to make sure we understood the rules for keeping our camp correctly to avoid bear encounters. We had a large site with a beautiful view.

Friendly and helpful hosts. Great location. Could use a few more restrooms - long hike from some sites to the bathroom.

Great view of the Grand from this campsite. Short walk to the dumpsters and restrooms as well. About as close to the lake as youll get from anywhere in the campground.

This camping trip began with a warm welcome and thorough explanation of camping in bear country by Rena, one of the camp hosts. Our site was stunningly beautiful with its view of the the Tetons. The site was large and clean, but shade was only in the area farthest from the road. Because the picnic table was quite heavy, we didn't manage to move it out of the sun, so preparing supper could be a toasty affair. All sites were provided with bear boxes with heavy doors, so are nothing young children would be able to operate. We were fortunately near the restrooms, which had an inadequate number of stalls for the ~50 sites during "rush hour," but campers were pleasant while waiting in line. (Apparently, there's difficulty in adding more restrooms because the restroom itself, as the first one built in a national park, is on the National Register.) Campers and hosts were very friendly and helpful; quiet hours were truly quiet; and we thoroughly enjoyed this tent-only campground with its spectacular views. We spent three nights and didn't move our car until it was time to leave. We hiked the Jenny Lake and Moose Ponds trails, saw large wildlife at a distance, and loved the entire experience.

We love Jenny Lake! This was our first opportunity to actually stay at the campsite and well definitely try to nab a reservation in advance next year. It rained for an entire day and we still had a wonderful time. There much to see and do. Collect rocks along the lake, look for Foxy Marie the JL campground critter, go on a hike (even in the rain), grab a coffee / slushie at the JL store or talk to the rangers at the visitors center. I could go on. On the clearer days we had an outstanding view of the Tetons. Majestic cathedrals rising to meet the sky. I could sit and stare at them, listening to the birds, chirp all day. Facilities are kept top notch and easily accessible. I wouldnt expect less from the beaming camp host though- hes about the best there is. My last thought or suggestion rather, is to create a little list for yourself of the most desirable camp spots. We used a map from registration and know exactly where we want to be next time! We had # 48 and I would stay in that spot again but would also like to try a few others we sought out. *Reminder, it did rain and we made our list with knowledge of the driest campsites- hee hee ;)

Beautiful campground. Hosts were super friendly and a good source of information. Only one bathroom for whole campground so a bit crowded at times but other than that a wonderful campground. Right at the heart of the Tetons, gorgeous views and super easy access to the visitor center and many hikes. Planning to go again!

Jenny Lake tent campground is a terrific site close to the lake, quiet with no RVs and generators, clean bathrooms and a helpful camp host. Only negative is you have to book a site six months out for the summer.

Stayed at campsite #48 and it had an awesome view of the Teton range. Campsite is huge for a single. Nice tent pad set back against the trees. Picnic table, fire ring, and bear box included. Within walking distance to very clean bathrooms, shower house, and front entrance. Potable water spigot is a little far away but still walkable. Jenny Lake store is less than a minute drive away at the beginning of the campground. They sell everything you need! Joe was our camp host and was awesome!! So friendly and personable. Felt like old friends after a couple days. He was very attentive to the needs of the campground guests and checked on everyone multiple times making sure we were aware of wildlife that was around and that campsites were kept orderly and to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Felt very safe and at home. We had a mama moose and her baby in the campground for multiple days and a mama bear with two cubs walk right through. Within walking distance of the Jenny Lake boat shuttle and trailhead. Definitely the best campground weve stayed at!! Restaurants at Signal Mountain and Jackson Lake Lodge were also top notch and a life saver on a couple rainy days!

Beautiful campground, 5 minute walk to Jenny Lake activities, but once you get back to the campground the crowds go away.
