Love the campgrounds hosts from Alabama, non-trailer allowed campsites, quiet hours, peace, and tranquility.

This is an absolutely gorgeous park that we hope to return to again. We were impressed by the camp hosts (Jo and Rena) at Jenny Lake Campground who were friendly, welcoming, attentive, informative and good natured. The rangers were walking through the camp grounds daily, attentive to bear sitings and giving advise on how to not attract the bears. Each site had its own bear boxes (many were in the direct sunshine and our neighbors had an insulated bear box cover), but you can also keep food in your car. I love this campground because it is a tent only (or car/van camping) campground. There are no loud generators to listen to, only nature. By 10 o'clock it is quiet except for a few low voices at a few campfires. It is close enough to walk to the Jenny Lake Store, ferry and several hiking trails. If you aren't getting up early for an early morning hike (well worth it), then take take to enjoy the numerous stars in the dark sky. After a long hike the 8-9 minute hot showers in the shower house are delightful. We had no wifi and phone service at the campsite.

Campsites were fine, but a little close to one another. Not enough bathrooms.

Loved the scenic overlook just north of the campground. Wished the weather would have cooperated more to make our night more enjoyable.

Stayed at site #16 from 06/04/23-06/06/23. Great location! Not too far from the bathrooms and a close walk to Jenny Lake. Tent pad was in a good location—protected but got some shade/sun. Showers were not working when we were there but we’re getting fixed. Site has a great view of the Tetons!

Great campground with beautiful views nested in a very busy area of the park. Quiet and peaceful and close to so many attractions.

My adult son and I camped at Jenny Lake Campground for several days, prior to taking a 3 day backcountry (permit) trek on the Paintbrush Canyon trail system. And returned to the JL Campground a couple days afterwards. Our JL experience was terrific!! The Host Family (Mike from Alabama & his wife) were friendly, openly communicative, and responsive to any requests. As were the Park Rangers at the JL Station. Dedicated volunteers and staff! The Campground was well organized, clean, and quiet. There were 3 "bear events" within the first two days of our stay - two male black bear yearlings and one young grizzly. The Park/Wildlife response to all three was a measured one - the needs of the wildlife and the campers were both professionally seen to. (The first black bear was a repeat offender, but had no "food reward" or aggressive behavior. He just wandered through the campsite three days in a row. So he was relocated. His brother - the second black bear - only came through once and again caused no issues. The young grizzly was chased off by a combined Ranger/Campground Team.) The JL Bathroom and the Shower facilities were kept clean daily. The tent/vehicle policies were adhered to. The entire stay at JL was a pleasure - beautiful views, sufficient areas for tents, strong bearproof storage boxes, and more. We highly recommend it for those who dislike the RV's &/or Trailer campgrounds, as we do.There are MANY "must see" attractions in the vicinity of JL. These include the several trails that follow around it (and around String and Leigh Lakes), the Hidden Falls area, the trailheads to numerous other backcountry trail systems, the boat launch at the south end, and more. If you like to hike, fish, and climb then Jenny Lake is a wonderful hub from which to work.

We had a great stay! The campground hosts were helpful and welcoming. The campground is beautifully situated next to Jenny Lake and it was amazing to be able to catch the ferry for a hike without having to go into the car. Can't wait to come back next summer!
