For the price, I expected a much better experience at Grand Teton. While the restrooms do have running water, they were not clean during our stay. The campsite is conveniently close to Colter Bay Village, which offers a restaurant, visitor center, and general storebut thats one of the few positives. There arent many good trails or hikes accessible directly from the campsite, and the lake, while scenic, is extremely cold even in the summer, which makes swimming or water activities pretty unappealing. If you're looking for hiking, wildlife, or truly memorable views, youll either need to drive a fair distanceor be prepared to be underwhelmed. One of the biggest downsides was the staff. They were rude and unhelpful, which really takes away from the experienceespecially for first-time visitors who might need help navigating check-in or park info.Honestly, don't fall for the Instagram hype. Yes, the mountains *look* incredible in photos, but the reality doesn't always match the expectationespecially if you're expecting a relaxing, welcoming, or activity-filled stay. The scenery is beautiful, but that alone doesnt make up for the lackluster experience. If you're trying to decide between Grand Teton and Yellowstone, Id strongly recommend Yellowstone instead. It offers far more to see and dobetter hiking, unique geothermal features, more wildlife, and a more organized, enjoyable overall experience. Grand Teton is worth a short visit for the views, but I wouldnt recommend camping here over Yellowstone.

The campsite was unpleasant because it was too close to other sites with no privacy (unfortunately, the photo of the campsite provided online didn't resemble the actual campsite at all). Our site was one of the most unpleasant campsites on the loop, but most of the sites in the loop were overly close together to be honest. It was also quite noisy and many campers were not properly storing coolers, camp kitchen items, and so on. I never saw campground staff monitoring the campground or enforcing quiet hours, which was disappointing given how cramped and crowded this campground is compared to other national park campgrounds.

We loved it! The convenience store was awesome! Great area, loved the distance from the trailheads.
