Exceeded my expectations! .8mile walk or bike from my campsite to laundry/ showers/ store. Sites werent crammed together and there were plenty of trees. Liked it so much we stayed 6 nights instead of 3. Would stay here again for sure. Site Check in staff were friendly but didnt over-monitor the campground.

Cozy campsite in GTNP. We had a bear come through our campsite at dusk. The only bummer was that they had almost all of Jackson Lake drained when we were there.

We stayed in Colter Bay campground 3 nights (from June 30th to July 3rd), and our campsite had the group sites immediately behind it. Each night there were loud 12 or 13 year old girls from the group site running around after 10:00, yelling, and riding their bikes through our and others' campsites. I informed the campground staff each morning about the issue, and they said there was a "Girls Group" staying there, and they would remind them about quiet hours. This did not do any good, and they continued to make significant noise and disturb us each night until at least 11:30 - midnight. There appeared to be no adults supervising this group after dark. This is the only time I have encountered a loud and obnoxious group at a National Park, and I was shocked to find that behavior in the GTNP. Besides that we really enjoyed Colter Bay and thought it was a nice campground. It was just too bad that there were unsupervised youth that were allowed to break the rules and disturb others.

Campsites are a little tight together but the national park is so beautiful you had to overlook that. Our site was a little difficult getting our trailer into the spot but the campground was very well kept up and no complaints
