Well kept campground and bathrooms. Great friendly staff. Large site and still nice even with the 3g towers.

Colter bay was our favorite camping spot from our summer trip this year! Our spot was very spacious, close to bathroom. The amenities at colter bay are fantastic, the shower & laundry facilities were fantastic. I will say the park store did charge more for firewood than any other park we camped at, but that is our only complaint from this park! It is beautiful & very well maintained.

Expensive and charmless, but a good location deep in the National Park. If you are coming in a tent, make sure you pick one of the tent-only loops, because no generators are allowed there.

Wonderful stay here. Each campsite had a bear box, showers and laundry very accessible. Really enjoyed it!

The Grand Tetons are a real experience and Colter Bay Campground is well maintained. However - returning from Yellowstone, I was shocked by the price-performance ratio. $50 per campsite as opposed to $30/35 @ Xanterra campsites in Yellowstone. Whilst the latter include one shower per day, @ Colter Bay they charge you a hefty $5 extra per shower. Fun fact: signs ask not to shower more than 15 Minutes... Right now, I feel pricing for campsites is too high (has been around $30 a couple of years ago), and shower prices are a bit of a rip off. Id be happy to pay $5 for 5 x 3mins showering or may be 3 x 5 mins.

I was very disappointed to find out that right across from the site I had booked - for a much higher price than most campsites - was directly across from three massive cell phone towers that looked like smokestacks within the camp.I do not go camping to be positioned directly next to a high voltage radio frequency emitter, and recreation.gov did nothing to notify me in advance of its existence before booking.I have never complained about a campsite within a National Park before, but this really was disappointing, and in fact, I did wake up with a strong headache the next morning, the first after camping "in nature" that I have had. If removing these is not an option, please inform campers that they should expect these. I feel like I should be entitled to a refund for this disappointing experience.
