Nice big open area with no back campers. Went the end of June and the mosquitos were quite bad in the evenings. Public showers down by the visitors center were good, but you had to time it when most people are not showering otherwise you have to wait in line for 45 minutes.

Beautiful. Quiet. Close to everything in GTNP. Tent only area is nice to not hear the generators running.

We enjoyed our campsite. It was bright with plenty of space. The only note I would make is the map online is a bit misleading in the location of the site in relation to the lake.

Grand Teton Lodge Company staff provided an efficient check-in and check-out. Our reserved site was in good condition. However, GTLC is not up to the same standards in maintaining the restrooms or enforcing campground rules like Xanterra is to the north in Yellowstone National Park. The restroom cleanliness was marginal at best throughout the week. Trash receptacles are also all centrally located along the loop entrance road rather than adjacent to the restrooms. The dishwashing stations lacked useful countertops. There were no quiet hour patrols provided by GTLC like Xanterra does. Many campground roads and paths are partially blocked by vegetation. Either NPS or GTLC need to bring the campground back to the standards that existed the previous thirty years that Ive been utilizing this campground.

The Colter Bay campground was awesome. Set away from the rest of the park in a beautiful forest, it was clean, quiet and run well. And close to a lot of animals.
