First let me say we love Colter Bay! But this was our worst experience ever camping there- site 57 C was terrible . There is only a bathroom in B or D- and our campsite had a path from our campsite over to B bathhouse . And since a fairly open site- not much tree cover etc. - everyone just assumed it was a path to bathroom and everyone just walked around our vehicle and tent straight thru the middle - and I do mean right thru the middle- of our campsite to the bathroom. Not too bad most times - we were camping after all - but not so good when group of people standing right outside your tent on your site talking loudly etc.. even though its obviously an occupied campsite..So they really need to close this as a campsite and just make it strictly the path to a bathroom..

This was overall a good campground and a prime location for doing stuff within Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park. The campground itself was generally nice and the parks were both excellent. My only complaint is that the bathroom facilities available at the campground were an embarrassment. Only one toilet was working and the facility is very obviously outdated to the point that it just needs to be replaced. I also disliked the fact that showers are not available at the campground and you have to go pay extra for them at a concessionaire's building.. if basically every state park and many other national parks can have showers available for free when I'm paying the same price for a campground why can't one of our flagship national parks?

The nearest water supply to our campsite was shut off. There we bees all around the water supply at the dump station and at the closest spigot to our site. The staff was friendly but could do nothing about the bees. The sites were shaded and well spaced. The one we were in was level.

The restrooms could have used a little more attention. Not too bad though.
