It's nice that each site has a picnic table, fire ring and a bear box. The staff was very nice. However, when I asked about putting fresh water in my RV, the woman who worked there said that she didn't know because she doesn't own an RV. I understand that not everyone owns an RV but when you work at a campground, which people and paying to stay at, the staff should be trained and have basic knowledge. The campsites are crammed together, end to end. Camping there is somewhat like parking along the side of a street. There is no privacy due to overcrowding and cell service is almost non-existent. We stayed in 5 different campsites in Colter Bay and many had tree limbs which were encroaching far into the parking area of the site. They need to be more diligent about cutting tree limbs to ensure proper access to the sites. With all of this said, there is virtually no dispersed camping (which I prefer) that is within a reasonable driving distance to the park. To avoid drive times that were too long, we booked sites within the park.
