Park staff were outstanding - very helpful and knowledgeable! Checkin was seamless and the sites and surrounding areas were spotless. Restrooms were well maintained.

Campground and the staff throughout the park were excellent. We visit yearly to view the incredible landscape and the animals. However, the quality of momento items for sale and the restaurants have declined in quality. This prevented a 5 star rating.

The site we camped at was an ADA site. I was able to book this site without an Access pass. I received an email to remind me of our upcoming reservation. This email specifically said that this site was an ADA site, and an Access pass would be required to stay at this site. Upon arriving I was never asked to show an Access pass. We did not see any camper during the week that we were there with a handicap tag on their vehicle. Booking this was nearly impossible as the sites were gone in less than a minute. These sites are to be used by disabled people. It appears this is not happening at all. I will be contacting my US senators about this matter. It would be great if this was remedied by rec.gov, but this was the same last year. The bathroom had a plumbing leak that required the pail to be emptied 3 times a day. People said the campground in general had gone way downhill since rec.gov took over.

We enjoyed our time at Colter. We wanted an electric site and since it said ADA compliant, we assumed that ONLY people with disabilities were able to book these sites. When we arrived we observed that the electric sites were occupied by guests that did not seem to necessitate a handicap site. My husband requires a c-pap machine, and after speaking with a work/host....we hope to be able to book an electric site for our entire stay.

We stayed at Colter Bay Campground for two days, but would have stayed longer if we could. The campground was very nice and very quiet. The facilities were clean and the area was close to a restaurant, convenience store, gas station, laundry and showers. The area is incredibly beautiful! Hiking at Jenny Lake is a must and you can take the ferry across the lake for a shorter hike. Yellowstone's Old Faithful and other thermal features are a short, scenic drive. And the restaurants and shops in Jackson are about 30 minutes away.

Great campground, friendly staff! Got lucky and nabbed a last-minute cancelation and wish we could have stayed longer!
