The campground sites was good size and the loop we were in was pretty quiet. The bathrooms could really use updating and maintenance.

It was a good location with lots of privacy. Enough ground space to setup two tents. However, the mosquitos made the site nearly unusable. There was major difficulty preparing food or even lounging near the campfire. We tried multiple options to remove/reduce them with no success including bug zapper rackets, citronella candles, and bug sprays to name a few. The best results were from layering clothes and wearing mosquito head nets, however that not really a pleasant way to enjoy the camp site. Ultimately, we gave up and ended the trip early due to the mosquitoes. Some mosquitoes are understandable when camping, but not the amounts we encountered. Will reassess and try again next year with a different approach. Advice for fellow campers for this site are to be prepared for swarms of mosquitoes if tent camping.

very solid campsite! pretty close to other sites, hence the 4 star review, but otherwise great! good scenery, nice bathrooms, easy access to water, and felt relatively isolated despite being so close to other sites. I would definitely stay again.

I have asthma, which means I have trouble breathing when there is smoke in the area. This campsite looks like it is on the edge of the campsite on the map, but in reality, it is in a basin surrounded by other campsites whose smoke will all collect into this site and stay. The geography amplifies the collection of smoke which is terrible for people like me, but I didn't have a way to know that when reserving online and not having been there in person to scope it out. Once I got there, I found out what the campsite was like, and realized I won't be able to use the campsite or sleep there at night. So I ended up not using the campsite except to set up, then take down everything on the last day. I couldn't cancel my reservation once I got there, so now I'm stuck with money spent and no way to enjoy the campsite the way it should reasonably be.After coming home and immediately submitting the request like the rules say so, I am denied a refund. Seems like Recreation.gov is discriminatory against people with breathing problems. This is a medical issue, not a campsite quality thing. The site itself is actually pretty bad. I will say it is a nightmare for trying to keep water out of your tent. The flat-ish area for your tent is water collection basin of sorts. Water will gather in the middle. The best place to set up a tent is right where the trail goes to the lake. Setting up there means blocking the trail to the lakeshore. One more thing: the fire pit is bizarrely placed right in the middle of the path leading into the tent setup area. Normally it's not like this, but I ended up slicing my big toe open on the sharp edge of the fire pit. Who the heck designs a fire pit to have sharp upper edges anyway? So my first two days of the trip, I was hampered by not being able to walk far or hike, and I was limited to shorter trails. Thanks a lot, campsite. Also the neighbors were rowdy and unruly, and I suspect they retaliated after I asked them to be quiet. Made my tent wet.

No surprises here. Clean and well operated campground. Beautiful location and great trails. Get your firewood early as they had already sold out by the time we got to the park.

We stayed in loop B. There is a trail that goes right back to a great swimming spot and beautiful view of the lake! This campground also had lots of amenities nearby and the spots were spaced out enough to have a good amount of privacy. Bathrooms and the campsites were clean as well.
