I LOVED the cleanliness, access to park hikes and activities, and amenities. The store was stocked with fresh groceries, the showers were hot and clean, and the location was perfect for seeing the many lakes and hiking trails. I stayed with a friend at the campground and it was quiet, and a bathroom was in each loop. I also appreciated that a bear box was on each site. I was SO happy with my choice to stay at Colter Bay!

For a large campground the site had plenty of privacy and everyone was quiet around us. Great access to amenities while still feeling like you're in nature.

Site #136 was located among several evergreens. Good privacy. Restrooms were close, just a short walk away. Excellent campsite rating. Poor rating for the campground staff. Didn't enforce campground rules.

Excellent tent campground in the Tetons. Decent proximity to amenities and within 30 minutes of most major trails.

Colter Bay Campground was wonderful! We stayed in four different campsites because we booked late and couldnt get one for consecutive nights, but it was kind of nice to explore the campground. Every loop had a bathroom and dishwashing station. The showers are located in the village and you have to pay for them, as well as laundry. Our favorite campsite was F136. It was very large and could have houses three tents! It was right near the restroom and was secluded from every other site in that loop. I would scout many sites before picking one in the campground because a lot of them are very close together or do not have any shade. But it is possible to find some hidden gems that are secluded and shaded!

This is probably the most spacious national park campground I've been to. Other parks have had your camp site pretty much right next to someone else. There's ample space between neighbors, and while you can still see them, there's a lot of foliage for privacy. The restrooms were decent, not perfectly clean but not terribly dirty. It's a great central location to have your base camp if you plan to explore the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone.

5 is for a good campground with flushed toilets and showers. Thank you for these!

We stayed here on a one-week trip through Yellowstone and Grand Teton, and all I can say is I wouldve loved to spend more time in Grand Teton if I could have. We were pressured on time, but we did the main scenic drives and swam in String Lake. Such a gorgeous lake with amazing views, definitely recommend! I also recommend a hike around Jenny Lake, I did that 5 years ago when I came here the first time and it was super awesome. In general, Colter Bay Village is a great place to stay that has everything you could need.

Great campsite, felt private and spacious. Plenty of space for tents. Only complaint would be the men's bathroom didn't smell too great.
