Campground was great and location between lakes as well. Fire ban unfortunate but understandable. Biggest complaint was lack of signage on main highway for Jumbo campground. We went right past it and several miles beyond. Finally turned around & went to Visitors Center (which was of course closed). Fortunately were able to consult map posted in VC parking lot & figure out Jumbo was back at Mesa lakes area. Really no excuse for no signage on Hwy 65. I dont have ESP & there was no cell coverage there b

Great campground, great host, spaces are nice with trees between most for some privacy. The only downside for us is all the improvements with paved paths and walkways - we much preferred the plain trails. Still a beautiful area we will return to.

Had a great stay! Just wish some of the drivers would follow the speed limit driving through the campground.

One of my favorite campsites. You can hike, fish and explore for days across the Grand Mesa. There are a few electric sites which make staying there so convenient! Love this beautiful environment!

1. The toilets were full & very stinky!!!2. There was a very unpleasant encounter with one of the camp hosts regarding whether propane faux fire pits were allowed. He was misinformed & very rude.

We just love the scenery, the pece and quiet, the fishing and the early in the morning wild life. It is the most relaxing vacation for us, we live only about 35 to 40 min.s away (grand Junction), fees there are reasonable, and we pick JUMBO because it is paved for easier access for my handicapped husband, and myself (aging for me).

Loved Jumbo Campground. Hosts were very nice and helped us with an adapter to fit the water spicket to fill our tank. There are lakes everywhere near Jumbo and a nice lodge for food and drinks. The biggest drawback is there is no dump station near the park to even dump gray water. We would have stayed a lot longer but we were full.

Wonderful campground with electricity. Is very quiet and well maintained except for the toilets which stink to high heaven and seem to get worse each year.

Our favorite campground. We had great weather this year. Water levels in the lakes can vary but this time they were all good. Fishing was the best in the last several years - I caught 3 nice sized brook trout on four casts. A serene, peaceful getaway to the woods.

Stayed in site 20. No electric at this site but otherwise a very good site. Level and shaded. Verizon was spotty at best. Some days would have a little service other days nothing. Campground host was great.

Jumbo Campground is the nicest National Forest campground we have ever stayed in!!! It is extremely well-maintained. The camp sites are strategically placed for maximum privacy with each site having its own pleasant view. It is quiet, clean and so pleasant! Lots of hiking trails and fishing lakes are definitely a plus. We highly recommend this campground and will stay there again.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
