We had no notification that one road was closed nor did we know the boat ramp was closed. This should have been posted on the website. The road into the campground was not only very rough but it was also one way. What happens if a person towing a trailer in meets a person towing out? It as very iffy and potentially dangerous!

Campground and host were excellent. Problem we experienced, we did not receive notice that the main road to the campground was closed due to construction so we had to find the other entrance. The other entrance , which we used, worked fine as long as we did not encounter a vehicle coming from the other direction. We were pulling a trailer and that road is not wide enough for 2 cars at one time. Did not feel safe.

The road to the campground is rocky, narrow, and basically a one-way. Traveling with a 36' 5th wheel was not a good experience. There are no pullouts for any vehicle you may encounter...who backs up? The campground was beautiful and well maintained; however, our site #5 was not level. Our auto leveling system could not level our RV do to the condition of the site. The site would be better served for larger campers if it was level...smaller trailers should be okay. Our camp host were wonderful! Melanie and Shawn are doing a great job.

Be careful of size lot. We had a party of 9 and pad area was only big enough for 1 6 person tent. 12 person tent had to be placed in the car parking area. We needed electric as well. The host sis try to help get another site that was bigger but no electric hook up

Nice campground on the Grand Mesa. Next to Island Lake so good for fishing and kayaking. Some sites with electric hookups. I have been several times and the area is beautiful. However, during this visit I have never been to a campground where so many had large dogs off leash. Rule is they should be leashed at all times. A small dog on leash was attacked by a large dog off leash that charged it as they were walking by a campsite. The large dog had it by the throat and was whipping it around. It survived with injuries. I felt it was unsafe to walk my dog around the campground. The hosts talked with the offenders. A word of warning: there are two accesses points from the main road. One is closed for the next year or so as the campground next door is getting improvements. The only way in/out is a one lane shelf road that is steep and rocky. Very dangerous for anyone towing a camper. If you meet anyone coming from the other direction it would be a big problem if you are towing because youd have to either back up or back down a narrow rocky shelf road. The camp hosts were nice enough to help me when leaving with my camper. They rode up to the top of the road where it meets the main road and stopped anyone from coming down while I came up. I think information should be posted on the website about his situation. Personally I would close the campground to any towed campers/motorhomes. Tenters and small vans maybe..The day use area is closed but people come down and park at the sides of the road in front of the campground entrance making it difficult or impossible for a truck with a camper to turn out of the campground. I was told that someone tore up the side of their camper on rocks trying to make the turn to exit. Love this place but Im not going back until the other access road (which is flat all the way out) is open again.

Beware!! The main road is closed for repairs! So the only entrance road is a two rut road on the side of the mountain!!! HORRIBLE road! While we LOVE this campground they really shouldve improved the secondary road to get to it before they closed the main road for repairs!!! We were told it will take 2 years for the repair to be completed!

The campsite had such an incline that we had an extremely difficult time and never did get our camper level. When we put the levelers up, the camper went into limp mode because it thought the coolant level was too low. We probably will not be back.

Pretty location, great fishing. Latrines were immaculate; Mark, the campground host was great. Would have liked less rain, but can't have everything.

Camp host was awesome and very friendly! The surrounding lakes are great, easy to walk to from the campground and the views were worth it. The campground restrooms were kept clean, along with the actual campground. Firepit/grill was awesome to use for burgers and hot dogs. Gravel road was super easy to travel on. Overall great experience and would 100% recommend! Definitely bring bug spray though

The camp host was the best we've ever encountered. The restrooms were spotless and even fresh smelling! He cleaned them everyday. MANY mosquitos so we'll be sure and book this campground during a dryer and less buggy season. It's an absolutely beautiful area!

Beautiful and quiet campground, amazing host, close to several trails and lakes, cooler in the summer months because of the altitude. Just be prepared for the mosquitoes.

Super impressed with how clean the facilities were there. Camp host and staff doing a superb job. Also super friendly manager and hosts! Potable water and some of the pit toilets had soap outside. Quiet despite a busy holiday weekend. Will definitely come back! Site #9 rocks!

One of the best campgrounds we have stayed in Colorado. Beautiful, peaceful, quiet campsites in a convenient location to the lake. Super-friendly campground hosts came around selling us firewood just when we needed some. Bathrooms absolutely spotless, cleanest we've ever seen. We will be spoiled by this site for the future.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
