Close to the bathrooms but not too close to the bathrooms. Not a lot of privacy from other campers

I think the group sites should be marked as a while at the entrance to those sites. It was hard to find not knowing they would just be marked individually. A group tent area sign of some sort on the campground road at the entrance to those areas would make finding them much easier.

The campground and facilities are pretty nice. Laundry is cheap and bathrooms/showers are good. Great place to stay if you are traveling in for a backcountry adventure and need a spot to stay the night before. It is heavily forested so there aren't really any spectacular views from the campground.

The campground was nice, showers were decent, tye general store was ok not very friendly service. I wish someone would have told me prior that dogs are not allowed at the north rim we had our one small dog. So my wife and I didn't get to really see the canyon or walk the trails. Very upset about that. Next we would have liked to had a shuttle or something from the campground to the lodge we walked over for a star gazing event but then after a long hike there we were very tired to walk back and we were exhausted. We saw that there are shuttles but when we asked we were told no .The biggest disappointment was not being able to go anywhere with our dog that we had to take.

Our camping trip included our children and grandkids! We arrived late which upset the camp host. They removed the list of reserved campsites from the kiosk so we had to wake the host. She was gracious the next morning with her apologies which we accepted. Our campsite was perfect. Bathrooms incredibly clean. Unfortunately I forgot a few kitchen items. Foil and dish soap were available but cost $8.50 each for small items. The threat of fires restricted our ability to have a campfire and no smores.

The Ranger at the checking station is very tough, not kind.
And the campground is not managed.

Group camp site was awesome! We had 15 people in 6 tents and it was still spacious. We got firewood from the general store and sang around the fire happily. Fall color was wonderful in the early Oct. Night was chilly and a warm sleeping bag was necessary to ensure a comfortable experience. There were only 3 spots for parking next to the camp site, but we can park in the overflow parking lot near the general store.

Everything was amazing. First time there for my family and I. Campgrounds were great, Rangers were friendly and the little store had everything! Best part, the north rim was about 100 feet from our campsite. Worth the 8 hour drive from LA. Thank you
