The North Rim campground has long been one of our most favorite places in the world. Its quiet, peaceful, spacious sites are a balm for the soul. We are so heartbroken at hearing that the Lodge has been lost. Family dinners there and stargazing from its veranda hold a special place in our hearts. We are hoping to see it rise from the ashes <3

Beautiful place to camp. Undermanned and can have abrupt water shortages, so come prepared! Consider it dry camping, and your expectations will be set correctly.

The views are absolutely spectacular. Nice and quiet. Unfortunately, the showers are FREEZING cold, and so, incredibly unpleasant.

Walking to the lodge from the campground is great and very easy. Not particularly a biker friendly area.

The north rim is beautiful. Unfortunately for RVs longer than 22ft exploring the Grand Canyon is difficult as you are not allowed to park or drive in most places. Also up to now there is no shuttle bus driving into the scenic road. Therefore, people with an RV longer than 22 ft should better visit the south rim.

It’s a beautiful campground. The sites are spacious and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We really didn’t want to leave when out time was up. We would love to go back some day.

There are tents only sites at the campground; however, if you dont get one of these you may not have level ground for your tent. I have a tiny one-man tent and couldnt find a level patch of ground. The majority of the campground seems to be geared towards RVs. Not good stewardship!

Amazing, breathtaking views of the canyon. Nice campground with clean restrooms. The mule ride below the rim was the highlight of our trip. Such fun!

Beautiful place, very quite and family oriented. Love to see the variety of how people camp and have fun on their own ways. But what everybody have on common is that theyre all enjoying the north rim.

Lodge restaurant dinner was not what we expected and we were disappointed. The restaurant was out of three of the options and there were not that many to begin with. The waitress recommended the most expensive item on the menu. All of the meals were delivered cold. Food quality was very disappointing. Wine on the other hand was very good.

Please note that the road to the viewpoints is closed to vehicles over 22 feet. In my trip planning I only found the wording that is was not recommended. This had a negative impact on our visit in a 25ft RV.

Huge site with great views from the firepit. Shade is at a minimum. If you move your chairs around you will be fine. Drive way is very unlevel, bring leveling equipment. The lodge patio was packed, little shade. The Cape royal drive was doable in our 25' Navion, says the road is limited to 22'. Some low branches. Quiet in the campground, but noisy at the lodge. Always beautiful, but at our age mid 70's the elevation is getting tougher to handle.

To be camping so close to the rim of the canyon is amazing! Trails available for everyone to walk along the edge. Most affordable campsite we've experienced on the road for three months. Wonderful camp host who came to give us maps even though we arrived well past check in time. Highly recommend. We only had one night and we got there after dark, but saw sunrise over the canyon then did the scenic drive for many more spectacular views. Very clean restrooms and with the general store right there, it's handy if you need some supplies.

The campground was spacious so you were not right next to other campers. I had a great view. The fire pit was great for cooking and the water and restrooms were close enough to be convenient.

Our second time visiting the North Rim. Spectacular, I could sit for hours in awe just gazing at the beauty of God's creation. We camped there in our Motor home. If you want to visit the North Rim book early, everything fills up quickly. It isn't open year round. I know it opens in Middle of May. We didn't eat there this year, but if you do make reservations early. They have a buffet that is reasonable and good. There is gas/diesel available.

Our campground experience was less than desirable. Our expectations were based on prior stays at other Nat'l Parks and this one was very disappointing so much so that we departed earlier than planned. It's obvious that effort and money that went into building the beautiful campground and it is also obvious that no effort was made to have level sites for RV campers. By level sites, I'm referring to not having to lift the wheels off the ground to level the RV. On our drive around the grounds we did not see any site level for an easy set up. All the sites were beautifully situated, all the sites looked like the asphalt was newly laid and the sites were long enough to accommodate the 'assigned' RV. The North Rim is exceptionally beautiful and we enjoyed our meals at the Lodge.
