Got to stay at this sublime campground days before the fire destroyed it. such a shame. This is one of my favorite campgrounds and I would come every year because everything about it is just so wonderful and you are steps away from the canyon.

Very clean campsite, very quiet camping neighbors, bathrooms were clean, ranger was friendly and present. Beautiful views of the sunset over the canyon just steps away from our campsite. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing site. The campground was clean and well maintained. We appreciated how quiet and respectful everyone was at the other sites. Our site was on a bit of slope but nothing we couldn't handle. The views were amazing and the bathrooms were nice and clean.

The campground itself was excellent. Clean restrooms, good space between camp sites, and during my stay everyone was respectful of the quiet hours. The camp store is well-stocked with various types of snacks and a lot of camping items that might have been forgotten, and is an easy walk from any point in the campground. And there's a terrific view of the canyon that is also accessible to a 1.5 mile walking trail to the visitor center. For the most part, the sites are well-shaded which is welcome in the summertime. The outer ring of sites, including the one I stayed at, site 21, are on a very slopey part of the campground. It's difficult to find a relatively level place to pitch a tent and these are probably better served for people with trailers. If you have a tent, try to get something in either the dedicated tent area, which has tent pads, or the inner camp sites such as the 40s-60s.

The campsite I reserved #21 was in a great location, the restrooms were very cleaned and were cleaned twice in the four days I was there ,the hikes were excellent , the only unexpected experience was the showers were not working but that was only because of the storms we experienced that broke the water pipe and the camphost was great good attitude as he came around to check on things.

Labor Day Weekend 2022 - Great weather, decent neighbors who respected quiet time, cell service at my campsite (21). This site didn't really lend itself to a large tent however, it was pretty sloped and would have been perfect for a trailer or RV. The bees were a real problem, take the warning seriously and bring a net tent to eat in or you will never have a moment of piece during meals. I had to eat in my tent all weekend so I could have an beverage uncovered while I ate. Coming back for the end of the year. The women's showers were on with hot water over labor day but it's "on demand" hot water so depending on usage you are not promised a hot shower. It was delightful after a long hard hike.

Lovely campground in woods right on the edge of Transept Canyon with trails to the Visitor Centre and Bright Angel. Friendly and accommodating camp host.

Site 21 was awesome. All sites were pull throughs. Great view of the rolling Pine Forest & a 30 sec walk to view the Grand Canyon. Check in was easy and the Rangers were friendly and helpful. Always very visible and accessible. Flush toilets were plentiful and very clean throughout the campground. I camped for 7 days and took advantage to get in 5 different hikes.Four of the hikes were above the Canyon on various peninsulas through mostly Pine Forest to reach a beautiful vista overlooking the Canyon that you would not be able to see if you were in your vehicle. The fifth hike was on the Kaibab trail going into the Canyon. Again a view you see only by hiking into the Canyon. Even if you hiked for one hour down you get a total different perspective you would not otherwise experience. Coming back up will take longer of course. Was pleasantly surprised to see a Sinclair gas station (top tier) at the campground and their price per gallon was only about 30-35 cents higher per gallon than what I was seeing getting there (from Indiana). Thought it would have been much higher.General Store is located at the campground and has plenty of food and drink items along with ice and wood. While I was there (late June thru early July 2022) they had no shower or laundry service due to a water shortage. But throughout the campground they had multiple potable water sources. Campsites were paved, pretty level & pretty close together but I had great neighbors while I was there. Preferable campsites are on the outer side of the loop. That way your campers door will face your campsite. Otherwise on the inside of the loop your campers door will face the paved loop you just drove. The weather at the North Rim in the summer is usually around 75*-80* with low humidity which proved to be true during my camping visit. It did rain hard one day for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours in the afternoon. You could hear the thunder being so loud as it reverberated in the Canyon!!Beautiful scenery & landscape!!

Registration was quick. Campground very well kept and clean. Although not a lot of separation between campsites, it was enough to provide a good experience. I was there at the end of October, so probably not quite as busy as other times, though most campsites were filled. Water was turned off for the season at most sites and restrooms were limited, but that was expected. The showers were also off for the season. The General Store was still open. Firewood was available at the store. Use of generators was restricted to only 7 am to 9 pm. The campground became so peaceful at 9 pm! Beautiful sunsets visible through the trees. Easy access to other areas on the North Rim.

Beautiful site at a beautiful and well-run campground. Neighbors on one side were SO LOUD, late at night and very early in the morning. The campground is perfect, and the store is really well stocked and tremendously helpful.

Great campground! Even without a canyon view from our site, the spot was fantastic. I typically prefer backcountry camping to campgrounds but the facilities couldn't have been nicer. Easy access to multiple hiking trails, restroom, water, etc. Due to scheduling changes, we needed to cancel our stay at the South Rim and the Ranger at the North Rim station was able to get that taken care of for us and get our refund. Highly recommend the North Rim!

We had a magical family stay in our RV in August 2019. We loved the Condor talk, the shop and the peace and quiet. Oh and amazing views of the canyon!
