Loved the North Rim Campground. It had a totally different vibe to it than Mather Campground on the South Rim. Very calm, quiet, and peaceful. Site 56 was great with plenty of space and trees. The only negative was we had to share a pull through parking drive with the adjacent campsite. Most other sites seemed to have their own. That wasnt a problem for us, as we were in a car. I could see how it could be a problem with somebody towing a trailer. But they could probably work it out. Cant wait to go back!

You can escape the Disneyland of the South Rim by visiting the campground at the North Rim. This lovely alternative includes large wooded campsites set at substantial distances from each other, avoiding the noise and overcrowding we found at campgrounds like Bryce Canyon’s. The ranger staff were professional, friendly, and informative. Bathrooms and toilets clean and numerous. The camp store was well stocked at open 7 to 7. Currently the showers and laundromat are closed due to a water main break, but drinking water and bathroom facilities are functioning normally. The campground is located next to the rim trail on Transept Canyon, which takes you in 1.5 miles to Bright Angel Point and spectacular views of the Grand Canyon. Highly recommended.

The best hidden secret of the Grand Canyon!

showers were closed, due to lack of staff to run the park, and bathrooms were not kept clean. I liked the campground.
