This was a really nice campground close to the rim views. We saw the lodge down the street several days before it burned down. It was all so beautiful, what a shame. This campground did not survive either. Heartbreaking.

We loved our stay at the North Rim Campground. They were on a stage 3 water warning and we did not have showers or laundry available. We stayed 2 nights and it was fine. The camp sites are generous in size and beautiful trees with plenty of shade. We took the mule trip which was close by and ate lunch at the lodge deli -- a little overpriced but good food. We hiked many of the trails in the area. I would much rather return here than to the south rim again. It's just quieter and more relaxing. The cabins at the lodge looked very nice and inviting, we might have to try those out next time.

Beautiful campground to spend multiple days in. Unfortunately our trip was just to pass through. Would love to come back for a longer stay in the future. Camp host is really nice.

I am completing a 25 day whirlwind tour of the national parks out West in a 30 foot RV with my son and family. We have stayed in quite a few RV parks and campgrounds. Even without hookups, the campground at the North Rim was my favorite. I loved the size of our site, the wooded setting, and, above all, how peaceful and quiet it was. It was great being able to walk a short distance to the back of the campground and be on the rim of the canyon where I watched lovely sunrises and sunsets. There were several other trails out of the campground which took us to other views of the canyon. We never had to move the RV to experience so much beauty! In addition, the campground hosts and check-in ranger were extremely kind and helpful. Absolutely no complaints about our stay! Thanks!

The North Rim was beautiful and very clean. The campgrounds were also well kept and layed out giving every site a cozy and private vibe. The North Rim is well worth the extra drive with its cooler temps and beautiful forest.

Beautiful example of a National Park experience. The Lodge and Cabins on the rim are just fabulous, exactly lime you would expect. The remote location adds to the experience, light crowds. The Campground is very nice, our stay was hassle free. I find the North Rim a far superior experience than the South Rim due to the lack of big crowds.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the North Rim campground. We were pleasantly surprised that the sites were not right on top of each other. It made our stay a very good one. We liked that the roads for the campsite were wide enough that you did not feel right on top of each other if across the street from another camper. The dump station was a little tight getting into but we managed and used it with no problems. We would like to return if we can get reservations again. One thing that was not pleasant was the fact that we thought we would be able to eat at the lodge but it was not even open at 4 and they were booked both nights we were there. It seems there should be earlier hours for the lodge dining as many people arrive from different time zones. You could easily open at 3 or 4 and be full then. There did not seem to be anyplace else to eat anything that was not pre-packaged.

the best part was not having ranger over supervising the campsites

Only neg is the put-putting generators of some campers and RVs. Otherwise, just marvellous.

The North Rim is stunning. Camp spaces were big considering they are in a popular national park. The bathrooms were spotless.

The campground was spacious, well laid out, and nested in a nice stand of trees with great shade. The facilities were standard for NPS campsites, which do not include showers, which I always miss. I arrived in late October, and there were not many campers, which was great. However, the lodge, store, visitors center, etc were closed.

The campsite was great and the location is really awesome. The only issue we had was walking to the lodge. It would be nice if there was a better more clear trail. Of course if we had done it in daylight it would have been much better!
