Beautiful views of the Canyon. Campground was very well maintained. The road between Jacobs's Lake and the entrance to the National Park was exceptional.

Beautiful less visited side of the canyon and the perfect place to sleep for more adventures the next day. Coin operated showered were warm, not hot, and got the Job done! Coin machine takes bills if you dont have a ton of quarters (in laundry room).

Site 08 provides privacy for tent campers. BUT! I camped for three nights at the end of August. There was no shade in the campsite. The campground host told me site 08 and another site in the walk in section of the campground were the only ones with no shade in the late summer. When I returned from hiking I couldn't touch my car because the metal was so hot. The nice ranger at the campground registration office allowed me to park in the office's parking lot during the day where there was lots of shade.

The sunset campground is designed for small RVs. They repaved all the sites but they are small. The layout is fairly tight but cozy. There is only one bathroom currently but it looks like they are remodeling another one. All in all the location was perfect for walking to Sunset point.

We were there for 4 days. The camp host was very responsive after hours and registered us right away. We found out later that the office check-in was way less flexible. The campground was nice, clean and quite. We did not use the public shower and bath. Therefore, I cannot comment on that part. Overall, I really enjoy the time that we spent here.

Our site didn't have any shade in the afternoon and we didn't bring our free-standing shade. Other than that the site was great. The volunteer host would drive through the campground regularly and would stop and talk to campers. He was really nice and answered questions about the park. He kept a close eye on the campground and I felt he did an excellent job. I love the limited generator use. It kept the campground quiet during the day.

Gorgeous campground. I don’t think there’s a bad campsite in the entire campground. The campground is clean, generators can only be run at certain times (adds to the quiet, natural ambiance ), and of course the hiking trails and views simply cannot be beat. My kids said it was their favorite camping trip yet, and we camp often. I have to agree. An absolute pleasure.

The hike along the North Rim Transept offered a brisk hike and a photo op at every turn.
