Most of the sites are very shaded, so don't expect much solar charging. Loved the park and lodge and I want to come back again. So peaceful.

Beautiful and scenic campground! Our site #6 was not great for trailers, cramped driveway and difficult to level.

Very clean bathrooms and campground. Be careful if you have a larger rig. Our original reservation was for 6 which said a 22ft trailer would fit but the trees were too close together for our dually 350 truck and a branch was too low for our 20ft trailer. Luckily the camp host had another spot they could give us which was perfect. Be prepared as most of the camping sites are not level so takes a little while to set up. Other than that its a beautiful place and the campground store is better stocked than the lodge store!

This campsite was great. Close to the trailhead for the lodge and right off the north rim. Weather was perfect in July and not too hot.

We got to our campground spot on the north rim after a winter storm had blown through. Some nice people next door from Oregon loaned us the shovel they had in their camper or we would have had to dig out tent site out with firewood. Note: Buy camping shovel. The camp site was beautiful among the tall pines and aspen.
We then got on the Transept trail from the campground to the visitors center. Much of it was under slush and icy water, but a nice trail with views of the canyon. Pack plenty of clean sox.
Fantastic view from the scenic view points at the center. Excellent facilities at the campground and the visitors center. As usual, the park rangers were very helpful.

The proximity to the Canyon is fantastic. Loved having the store so close. Relaxing and quiet..

Wonderful experience at the North Rim Campground. All the facilities were very clean and the campground was very quiet at night. All the employees were both friendly and helpful. The only reason for not giving five stars is that the showers weren’t open (not certain of the reason as the showers were open at Bryce National Park).

We arrived late in the season (after the lodge closure) with about a week remaining for the campground. Our initial plan had been to tent and we had reservations for four nights. About a month prior to departure we bought a small adventure trailer and were able to make partial changes to the reservation so that we were now two nights in the trailer area and two in the tent campground. Upon arrival, it was evident that there were many cancellations. Because our preference was now for four nights in the trailer, the park ranger facilitated the changeover getting us two nights in an overflow area near the designated spot I had secured earlier with the online reservation system. He was most helpful.

We hiked the campground to lodge trail and on to Bright Angel Point several times in the daytime and at sunset. We drove to Walhalla overlook and then on to Cape Royal with its spectacular views including the Colorado River in the canyon basin. On the return leg we mountain biked the Cape Final hike, then continued by vehicle to the Point Imperial overlook with stunning views as far north as the Vermilion Cliffs in southern Utah.

Had a very nice stay at the Grand Canyon North Rim. The campgrounds and the rest room were all in very good condition. Plan on staying again nest summer.
