Beautiful, large, wooded sites, plenty of shade, quiet. Bathrooms, and even showers by the well stocked general store (pay, not a Ritz Carlton shower but it got me clean). Staff was friendly, and you could walk to the ranger talk at night (bring a headlamp for the trip back). Would definitely recommend, but I did reserve 6 months in advance and still had to switch sites for a 2 night stay.

Great place to relax and enjoy the stars with breathtaking views of the canyon. Plus the showers had hot water, much needed after rim to rim!!

We liked how close the campground was to the canyon rim and the lodge, and it was nice having a market and laundry on-site. The Transept Trail was a lot rougher and rockier than we were expecting, so on the way back from the lodge we took the much easier Bridle Path and came across some grazing deer. While we were here in early October, the aspen leaves were turning yellow, making a stark and beautiful contrast to the surrounding evergreens. The views and the landscape are scenic and breathtaking.

Ive always found the North Rim to be a more rewarding experience than that of the South Rim. Although both offer quite similar scenery, perhaps its the feeling of being more isolated, more in touch with nature, the Ponderosa forests and the additional elevation offered at the North Rim that promote this assessment. Love, love hiking the North Kaibab, Uncle Jim, Ken Patrick and Widforss trails. Took a mule ride to Supai Tunnel this trip and would recommend the trip to others. The mules were patient and predictable and the cowboys added to the experience even more. And dont pass on the drive to Cape Royal or Point Imperial for their spectacular views. The North Rim is truly a must see/must do destination.

Camping at the north rim of the Grand Canyon? It doesn't get any better.

One of the best campgrounds in the NPS system. Outstanding host.Campsites are generally well spaced and bathrooms are good, but dishwashing facility needs modernization.

Other than the shower facility being "closed for the season" and noises (i.e., loud music, whooping, conversations, and arguments) generated from partiers and campsite neighbors at night, past the 10 o'clock's quiet time, our experience was positive. Our campsite was cleaned; and, had access to water, the restroom, general store, and other eateries. The hiking trails were great and fewer people than usual traversed the trails. The lightning and thunder storms at nights (went in mid-July) enhanced our camping experience.

Beautiful campground! Spaces are BIG! Trees, meadows with wildflowers, great hiking, and of course, the Grand Canyon. Clean bathrooms and plenty of water. It was hard to get a reservation, but there were lots of empty sites. If people would cancel if they aren’t coming it would open up their space so others could use it. But it was quiet, pretty and we saw baby bison!

Beautiful campground with views of the canyon. The north rim had fewer visitors which made the experience more enjoyable.
