Absolutely the crown jewel of our ten-National Park trip and we are heartbroken that fire destroyed it two days after we left (which was hours before the evacuations). This was our last stop and everything was amazing, from the huge canyon-view site to the camp host couple and shuttle drivers. We had saved the best for last, and were hoping to someday return.

The campground is just lovely!!! It's very clean and quiet. The bathrooms were super nice, too. There are a few things to know: if you're tent camping, while this is considered a "premium" site, it is sloped with no tent pad. If you're car camping, the driveway is also on an incline. The site is adjacent to the Transcept Trail which means there are hikers to and fro most of the day until sunset. If you have a dog that barks at people, this might not be the site for you. Also, pick up firewood ahead of your stay. The camp store was out late afternoon on Friday (4th of July) and still hadn't received their expected delivery when we left on Sunday.I adored my stay here but think these might be important for other campers to know. I will definitely be camping here again!

Site 16 we stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed it. Site 16 has big trees pretty close to it, so we didnt pull through we had to back it out to be safe. Site 16 is right next to the Trancept trailhead, so we had a lot of folks walking by our site. Not a big deal for us but accordingly, not a lot of privacy at the site. The site is very spacious and has a lot of room towards the canyon. Camp store there was outstanding and laundry facilities worked well and was cheap. Water was right across the camp road from site 16 and was really good. Tasted like spring water. Bathrooms and trash were a 2-3 minute walk up the hill.

Campground was great since it was so accessible to the North Rim. We had two sites and the second one was just 30 yards or so from the rim and the trails. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

The North Rim camp was very pleasant. Staff was friendly and check in was smooth. Although water supply was limited due to pipe breakage, we were still able to make things work. Restrooms had running water for sink and toilets, which was nice. Definitely recommend for stay on the best side of the Canyon.

The camping experience was exceptional. The sunsets and views along the trail to Bright Angel overlook were stunning.
It would be a wonderful addition to see more extensions to the bicycle trails . It would improve the safety of both riders , pedestrians and motorists if there could be either an improved bike path along the shoulders of the road or a continuation of the bike and equestrian path to other points of interest .

This campground is perfectly situated to enjoy all that the N Rim has to offer. I had site #16, right next to the Transept trail and a few steps to a beautiful view of the canyon. The hosts and volunteer rangers were friendly and very helpful with tips. The restrooms were clean and my site was right next to the drinking water spicket. There’s a gas station and general store next to the campsite. The showers and laundry were closed, which was not a problem for a short stay. I stayed 3 nights and loved every minute!

The ranger helped up get the best spot at the campsite right next to the Rim. Simply AMAZING!

Camping at the North Rim was wonderful. Don’t miss the Transept Trail and Scenic Drive which were less crowded than Bright Angel Point in October. Check the campground map for the “premium” sites that have immediate access to gorgeous views across the canyon. A great opportunity for astrophotography at night.
