The North rim of the Grand Canyon is one of my favorite vacation places. The campground is usually full, but never feels crowded. Ponderosa Pines provide constantly moving shade, and they sound wonderful in the breeze. There is no need to move your vehicle because everything is within about a mile from the sites. The general store and canyon rim are right there.I highly recommend this campground.

On arrival we got yelled at by the camp host for facing the wrong direction - we were unaware and were happy to comply. We would have been even more happy if we had been asked politely. The rest of the stay was uneventful, the campground was quiet and peaceful.

Campgrounds are very close together, people often walk through your campground. No hot water in the Bathroom, lots of rules about washing dishes in your campground and about fires. Feels very restrictive.

Very disappointing to be woken up by the smell of 2-stroke and other generator exhaust. Such a beautiful place nearly ruined by pollution, both fume and noise.

The campground is beautiful. It is in pine trees. The campsites at the end of the campground overlook the Grand Canyon and make a perfect place for watching sunset. However, we had camp number 23. We had three small tents. There were not enough flat spaces for the 3/10. We had to put our tents on the asphalt car parking area to have enough flat spots. The bathrooms were very clean. The water spigots were easy to get to and easy to use. There were picnic tables and fire rings there. The grocery store was excellent. There were a few fresh items like apples, oranges, bananas, lettuce. There were refrigerated and frozen items. There was an area where you could get coffee. There were books, T-shirts, sweatshirts and other small gifts. There were many choices for camp style foods likeRamen noodles, canned goods and bread.

Had such a lovely time at the north rim. Aside from having perfect weather while there, every single park employee I encountered was super helpful and friendly. All of the facilities were clean and the trails well-maintained. A great national park visit!

Wow, just wow!

While not a ton of privacy the campsites are large. I was in #04 so It seems like I had nearly 1/2 an acre to myself. Easy walk to the general store or Transcept trail. Very convienient to all other areas of the North Rim. I also liked that you saw either the hosts or the Rangers patroling the area regularly.

I loved everything about the North Rim and will most definately be back.

The perfect balance of having a nice store,
combined with a rustic campground.
