We wanted to stay two nights and to do that we reserved two separate sites. The first night was a site described as suitable for maximum total vehicle length of 15 feet. Had no problem with my 18 ft travel trailer towed with 19.5 ft F150. We noticed quite a few empty sites (host told us there were 7 unoccupied). Late afternoon on day 2 the host came to ask us to move to another site because the one we were in was reserved. We moved to site #2 and nobody showed up for the one we moved from. Again we observed quite a few other empty sites even though your web site shows no vacancies. Your system seems to encourage people to reserve sites but doesnt sufficiently punish no shows who do not cancel. Other than these two issues (misleading site description and no-shows) the restrooms were pristine, water faucets plentiful and dump station nice and clean.

Great experience! We lucked out and got a cancellation just in time for out trip. The North Rim is much quieter and less busier that the more famous South Rim. We got in late at night and quietly set up. Everyone was already asleep... no loud parties or commotion. The showers were coin operated and the attendant was actually there to help and answer any questions. She was awesome! The little general store was about 100 yds away from our camp site and packed a bunch of snacks for hiking plus lots of other camping needs. I will definitely come back to the North Rim next time!!

There are many sites but they are relatively well-spaced. Facilities and general store variety (plus the showers reopening soon) make for a very comfortable camping experience.
There were multiple late arriving neighbors who didn’t adhere to quiet or generator hours, or etiquette about not walking through campsites. Majority of campers, though, were friendly and respectful. Overall it was a relaxing and near perfect camping-hiking trip.

We had a great vacation at the North Rim even though there were water restrictions. Camp ground is well maintained and the bathrooms were clean. Very enjoyable temperatures compared to Tucson!

Easy Check-in, and convenient general store. Once the showers and laundry open up it will be excellent.

Because the pipe that brings the water from Roaring Springs to the campground is old, it breaks often throughout the year. On this visit, it was working and we had fresh spring water! That was a nice surprise. The campsites are large and the whole campground is one of the quieter ones we've been to. This is our 2nd visit and the showers weren't working either two times we stayed there (one pre-covid). Because it's so out of the way, and there are no walk-in sites, the people that are there have usually planned for a long time and seem to be really nice. Just plan on no water, possibly no toilets except ports-potties, and no showers. Go prepared and you'll have a wonderful time!

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
