We stayed in Site 17 which was a last minute booking. It had shady areas in morning and evening for cooking. RV was always in sun which was hot during the day. Site was close to restrooms and trash. And, trail. Bathrooms was very clean! Rules for generator times was not enforced. Over four days saw one person driving thru park checking on things. Wonderful stay.

The campground was really nice but the weather was so hot we couldnt stay there, because generator hours were only 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours at dinner time. We have cats and we cannot let them outdoors, therefore we had to leave the beautiful campground to find a place where we could run our generator. It was 98 degrees when we were there!

Beautiful and quiet. Very off the beaten path compared to the South Rim. We did drive in very late one night and almost had an incident with a heard of Buffalo running across the rode.. so be careful. Cell service is extremely limited in the entire park.

I did NOT get to enjoy the North Rim (Grand Canyon) campground due to inclement weather upon time of arrival. AND I could not cancel my reservation in a timely manner due to the campsite location and NO cellular signal. I wrote an email to Recreation.gov and requested a refund. I was denied because I did not get my request in, in a timely manner. I complained that I did not have a cell signal therefore I could not put in a request to cancel my reservation. Can my request for a refund please be reconsidered for funds to be credited to my credit card?On another note, campsite availability has been a huge problem post Covid. I have been to many National Parks and I have noticed that upon my arrival multiple campsites were marked reserved but on many occasions, no one ever showed up to their "reserved" campsite. It would be great if the park rangers or recreation.gov managers could improve the reservation process to weed out the overwhelming amount of no-shows so that spaces are available to others like myself who enjoy camping.

The North Rim is extraordinary. My husband and I had been to the South Rim about 40 years ago, and even remembered from back then how crowded it was. Can't imagine what it's like now! The North Rim is a very different experience, well supported by folks we met there who had recently visited the south. I am somewhat mobility challenged so don't do long hikes, but views from the scenic roads are still quite wonderful. We stayed at the North Rim campground and it is just fine. We had a sunny site which works well for us because we have solar panels and need to have them charge the batteries. It is hard to find a sunny site there. That the campground is right next to the Rim is amazingly wonderful! It is very convenient to have the nice store if you run out of milk or juice and they have a nice collection of gifts.

Nice campsite right across the rim. Spacious enough for our 30 feet rv. Nice fireplace. Clean and quiet. Recommendable. ...but you have to reserve a site well in advance.

Stayed just one night prior to a day rim-to-rim hike. Arrived a little late but was easily able to figure out where to go and what to do given the ample signage and instructions.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
