The site was very nice, with easy access to the Transept Trail. A little walk from the parking area. The only concern is that there is one pit toilet available for all 12 campsites in the tent only area. When we were there it was very quiet, and nice to be away from any RVs. The campsite was well maintained and clean.

Beautiful campground, close to the rim, with stunning views. Only downside was that the womens bathroom was out of order and running water was located far from our site. Site was so lovely that wed come back though!

We were in tent site 02, and it was perfect, not crowded at all, never saw a camp host, the restrooms were clean and everybody was nice . The weather was perfect, we were there the later part of June.

Our tent area was very nicely shaded, close to the bathroom, and close to the rim so we could backpack to the start of the North Kaibab trail. Would recommend.

We camped in T-02, close to the rim and tent only sites. The sites have plenty of space between them and are staggered (e.g. T-01 and the odd numbers are closer to the parking area, T-02 and even numbers are closer to the rim). Waking up so close to the rim was very cool. However, the wind at night made it a challenge for campfires. We ended up having a campfire at my MIL's campsite, which was not on the rim. Also, those firings were a little confusing...but we figured it out eventually. Camp store has anything you'd need. Bathrooms were clean. We had one full day and went out to Cape Royal- take the spur to Angel's Window!!! Walhalla Overlook and the Pueblos across the road are also worth a stop. We stopped at Roosevelt Point and Point Imperial (definitely stop here!!!). We also stopped at Greenland Lake and walked around the lake and found the little salt cabin, which was neat. I would have loved to have hiked the Camp Final Trail, but MIL was hiked out from the overlooks. Later that day we went out to Bright Angel Point, which was very cool. There are guard rails/fencing on this "trail", but also some open spots that you need to be sure younger kids are supervised around. The kids (13, 11 and 9) and I biked from the campground to the lodge on the Bridle Path- FYI when we got to the service road that runs to the lodge/cabins we stayed on that road to the lodge. The cabins/lodge were not open yet so there was no traffic on that road. The Bridle Path was steep going back to the campground so be prepared to walk your bike a little bit!We stayed 2 nights and one full day and did not get to do everything we wanted. I wish we could have stayed two full days. We did not get to do the Transept Trail, Cape Final Trail, and the North Kaibab Trail (just to Coconino Overlook). The north rim is so incredibly different from the south rim. It's a lot quieter and greener. Really lovely, we'd love to come back and hike more.

Do not ignore the warnings about the Ravens! 30 tortillas, inside the top cover of the pack, gone in a matter of a couple of minutes. So thankful for the well stocked grocery that had 'replacement' tortillas so we could eat lunch during our backpacking trip in the canyon.

Beautiful campsite, well separated from other tents and far away from the RVs and their generators. There was good signage, helpful people, it was just perfect

I camped on one of the tent sites for a week the second week of October. The site was close to the Transept trail, nice and quiet and somewhat isolated. I normally plan my camping trips close to the end of the season because the crowds start to thin out in October, only three or four of the campsites were occupied the last couple of days I was there. Mobile phone coverage is from slim to none, even at the camp store. For good reception walk to the Transept trail along the tent sites and call from that area, I had excellent reception every time I tried it.

Beautiful campsite. One of the best at the North Rim with views of the canyon immediately next to the campsite. Spacious pad for tent camping and great amenities. Highly recommend this particular campsite.
