We love the location of a campsite. It was tents only. They have a shuttle that takes you to the north rim, which allows you to also have access to the caf and restaurant. The only problem during our stay was it was super windy. Also the restrooms near the tent camping were not superclean. If you can drive to the entrance near the store there are showers, laundry in a cleaner restroom. Overall we love the North rim better than the South. The camping makes it very economical.

Pretty sites, some with great views, but they were too close together. Water and flush toilets were far away, among RV sites. That made it seem like tent campers were looked down upon. No parking next to flush toilets, which is where the dishwashing stations were. So dishes had to be carted by hand.

Location was fantastic. Commodities too limited (few toilets compared with the number of residents). Our tent site was very steep, too steep for a tent of 5 people. And our neighbours were quite noisy the first night (a Friday evening). Luckily they left and the rest of the stay was better.

The tent only loop is quiet and low impact. Everyone respects the low key usage. Yes, you need to carry your tent and gear 50 feet but who cares? Beautiful spaces.

Excellent campground with wonderfully spacious sites. Each site has a great tent pad, picnic table and fire grill. Very clean flush toilets and great staff. Bonus being that the general store, which is well stocked, is within walking distance. Highly recommended!

This site was right on the rim with fantastic views to the west. The only downside is that we were walking through someone else's camp to get to ours from the parking spot.

Shower is not well maintained and attended. I feel that the hiker/cyclist campsite is too full of Arizona Trail hiker, so it felt somewhat overcrowded. General store was amazing. The rangers at backcountry and camper station were great and helpful.

We had a wonderful experience! We were fortunate to get Tent site 05 which is very close to the rim and Transept trail. It was beautiful and tranquil. I would recommend hiking the Transept Trail as well as Bright Angel Point. We very much enjoyed our Prickly Pear Margaritas at the North Rim Lodge overlook :)Definitely will return!

The campsite was beautiful. We e tented and had plenty of space between sites. I only wish the showers were still available. They closed too soon for us early October campers

Mule rides are a must! Our trail guide was Kitty who is a skilled rider, very personable, & extremely knowledgeable. We did the 3 hour ride & it was so very worth it for my son (11) & myself.
We tent camped at Site 5 which was perfect & about 30 yards from the edge of the canyon.
Also as crazy as it sounds try to go during a thunderstorm. Thunder through the canyon is its own adventure.
The North Rim was really awesome as I only saw a total of about 150 people throughout the day so you can really get away from it all & be present with yourself & those you are with.

We were in site T05 with a good canyon view, though does have a short walk to the parking spot. The campground store here is the best I’ve ever seen.

The facilities are good, maybe a little dated, but not a problem at all. Advice: make reservations very early. Also, bring warm clothes regardless of time of year, as temps drop at night.

Our tent campsite was right near the edge of a side canyon. There was a hiking trail between us and the edge, but the limited amount of foot traffic was not a problem. We were there in mid-May and glad we brought warm clothes and wool caps because of the cool temperatures and breeze in the evening/morning

Ive traveled to nearly half the United States and 2 countries outside the USA and the experience I had at the Grand Canyon is absolutely one I will never forget! I will be back!

The site where we were at was beautiful and stunning, ended up having a pretty great view to of the North Rim. That evening we stayed the night sky was so clear we could see the Milky Way Galaxy. This was our first time here and we totally underestimated the true wonder of the Grand Canyon. We will be definitely coming back in the future. Bring plenty of water and snacks. Be prepared, it can get quite windy on the North Rim. So, have strong metal tent spikes and a hammer to secure your tent to the ground. We camped closer to the edge so the ground is mostly rock, and fortunately we were prepared for that situation.

The most beautiful campground I have ever seen. It's also immaculate and has real toilets and a mirror to do your makeup!!! Views are stunning and jaw dropping!
