Campsite was great - Our spot (Asher Loop, #44) was nice and level for our camper and close to the bathrooms! Would definitely recommend!

Easy access and well laid out. Simple walk to canyon on marked trail. Bring plenty of quarters for shower and laundry.

We stayed at the campground for just one night with our campervan. We arrived later in the evening and it was mid-November, so we weren't able to do much outside, but it was nice to be so close to the canyon to go on a hike the next day. It was also nice having a bathroom close to our site. It was affordable and convenient and, if it had been warmer and we stayed longer, we would have enjoyed the other amenities. Will definitely come back next time I visit the Grand Canyon.

We spent 4 nights at Mather in mid October. The sites are clean, quiet and large. The restrooms were well maintained . The showers are operating with reduced hours which ended at 3:45 although they closed at noon the first day. It was $2.50 for 5 minutes. We loved our evening and morning visits from elk and deer. As relatively new RV owners we were surprised our solar panels didn’t charge so we need to find a sunnier spot next time. It was cold at night but we brought our propane fire pit so we still sat outside in the evenings. Some campers had wood fires which are permitted. We brought our ebikes and used them more than we thought. There are a lot of bike trails and in October they were relatively empty. We rode out to Hermits Rest and stopped at every viewpoint along the way which took the good part of the day and was harder than we thought for our family who rode regular bikes. You do have the option of loading your bike on the front of a bus if it’s too much. As a side note- the rangers are awesome! Laid back and helpful with great advice for hikers. Trails are well marked and the shuttle buses are efficient- we never waited more than 10 minutes. All in all- a terrific experience!

A lovely campground with clean facilities. We loved how close it was to the canyon, and though we only stayed for one night, we felt very welcome and safe.

Most of the sites in this campground are quite nice and very private, well spaced out from others. Highlights included unbelievably friendly park rangers who made our kids feel beyond special, biking trails everywhere and a full market/grocery store that was well stocked.

One of the nicest camp grounds I’ve been to in years. Cow Elk walk right past you as you drink coffee next to your camp fire.

It was easy to find, spacious, clean, quiet. I talked to a very friendly and helpful Ranger.
