Nice site. Nice weather. Campground host, Mitchell was very helpful to us during our stay.

Beautiful campground among the trees close to the South Rim. with elk wandering through the sites. Close to the park amenities and facilities were in good condition on the campground.

Excellent campground! Graeat services (reception, washing machine/dryer, dump station, fresh water). Very well maintained! Walking distance to the bus stop for to go hiking and to the market! We were at the Aspen Loop.

The campground is located in the vliiage at South Rim. There are restrooms and a general store is closeby. Showers and laundry are available only at the campground entrance and cost extra. There is a shuttle bus that takes you around the village and to the viewpoints.

Location was excellent! Beautiful sites. Only issue was no soap in the bathroom. Everything else was great! Close to bus pickup and grocery store.

Great site. Close to market plaza with almost all basic things needed in camping available just in case if you forgot something. One thing disappointing that we could not shower after bike to hermit rest. Shower closed at 1 pm ( it was on instructions but completely forgot on excitement to go biking at Grand Canyon:))

We had a great experience at Mather. It is a beautiful place. However, I was not happy that the showers remain closed and I had to make other arrangements. I was also not happy that I could not dispose of my gray water (from washing dishes) by watering the trees in my campsite. Would the National Park system rather that I use disposable paper plates and fill a landfill instead of washing my own dishes using eco friendly soap? I wonder which is a better option? Water a tree or fill a landfill. Hmmmmm.

It was an outstanding campground. The bathrooms were always clean and the camp host drove around several times a day. The only recommendations I have for other travelers is to check the location of your site against the road maps for the park. My site was about 60ft away from a major road with rumble strips to warn of an upcoming stop sign. I had to sleep with ear plugs.
