We spent one night prior to our backcountry backpacking trip in May 1st. As always, Mather was clean, restrooms completely stocked and clean, noise was minimal and even the elk waiting by the water spigot was courteous!

Site was clean and had dry tent sites, even though there had recently been snow. Roads were cleared and bathrooms cleaned and available.

Campsite was amazing!! Very big and central to both the water spigot and bathrooms and the loop entrance. The fire pit was slanted on a cement rock which made grilling harder but definitely loved this campsite

The campground, which I visited in mid-March, was sunny and quiet. The snowstorm from the night turned everything white in the morning, with about 15 centimeters of snow piled up. By morning, some people had left, but we decided to stay and continue camping. We went to the gorge to see the Grand Canyon after the clouds cleared and the snow stopped. Everything was so stunning. At night, the glamour unfolded as if stars were raining down from the sky. Winter is not always cold, snowy, and dangerous.

I had a wonderful stay at Mather campground. It was peaceful and clean. Fire pits were clear of debris. When I had a piece of equipment break, the office people offered to loan me something to replace it.

We had such a great stay at the Mather Campground that we are already planning our next visit! The facilities were extremely clean with several restroom areas around the campground. Check in for our site was easy and the general store in the park had everything we needed and forgot to pack. We had great star gazing from our tent and the location was so close to the canyon lookout point that we were able to view the stars over the canyon as well. We had a great family trip here and will definitely be back!

My time at the Campground was great. I was glad I brought a little extra woods. It got a little cool at night. The dish washing sink wasn’t on due being off for winter. And some inexperienced campers were doing dishes in the bathroom sink. And plugged the sink. I had brought it to the attention of the Rangers at the check in office, and they had it squared away pretty quickly. Great experience with the Rangers at the campground. One of best vacations. It was worth the 10 hours drive. I will back, see you all then

The campground was wonderful. The site had plenty of room, solid table and fire pit. Restroom had hot water which we really appreciated. Clean. Easy access to garbage cans. Super!
